prolly this is not the proper chat, but i do not know where i can post this:

i been receiving notifications that someone send me a PM but when i go to my control panel there is no such message, what's going on? it is spam, or a trojan?

I can't say for sure but I read recently that spammers flood LIT with PMs and Laurel or Manu delete them. So you get the notification, but the crap is gone by the time you look.

That's probably what's going on. There have been a few zero-post type spammers who send messages like "I saw your post and I'm interested" and their homepage is a porn page of some sort.

Turn off notifications. Rely on the Private Message Item at the top of the Forum page.

yep, I've been receiving lots of those lately. I report them ASAP and Laurel kills all the messages they've sent.

Laurel is one of the site owners/admins. If you get PM spam, forward it to her.

If your private messages notice on the top of the page says you have an unread PM, but your inbox is empty, there's an italicized "empty folder" in the box with the green/yellow/red bar that you can use to just delete the folder contents. Your unread PM's notice will change to 0 afterward and everything will disappear so if you have any unread PM's you should read them before you do this.
