Not sure where to post this. Starting to feel like I shouldn't...

I know others here are having a much worse time of late.

I'm not doing well tonight.

Not sure what's to blame for this malaise. Lotta stress I guess.

*hands staggy a boffer*

Sometimes we all need some time on the stick, no?

Scotch is quote variable.

It can be peaty, or heatherish, or honeyed, or even ....not quite creamy but...like fired cream.

I am not a fusser about exclusive single malts, they are delicious to try, but my favourite is a not cheap blended scotch.

If you like ginger and want to try scotch you can always try 'scotch and amercan'. If you have a sensitive palate you can discern the difference in the scotches and the sweet ginger dilution takes the ....punch, from it.

A good datum point, and my personal fav, is Glenmorangie. The #1 Scotch in Scotland. Usually I drink bourbon nowadays, but only because I'm a colonial, foreigners bought out the Sixteen Men Of Tain and jumped the price up, and bourbon can ALMOST have the same complexity as a single malt whisky.

I'm having a glass of single cask Woodford right now...but it's notes of Vanilla & calm will soon be replaced by my supping of $11/L Jim Beam. But for the moment I'm calm & happy.
