These are typically very casual, friendly events. So send her, still somewhat reluctant and uneasy, with the girlfriend who talked her into going. The girlfriend would get into the scene, the main character would be a little at sea, just watching couples form.

Then have her recognize and be recognized by someone from work. Neither had any idea the other might be there. So the plot is primed for anything from mutual blackmail to consensual relations. Depends on your tone.

'Swinging' implies couples swapping partners. Does she start off small+intimate or big+anonymous? Do she and her partner know other attendees? If more than a few are there, the old key- or ID-card-lotto game is called for. One common device: the masked party. Or is it only her, her partner, and a couple of close friends in a hot-tub? Do they only swap, or go bi-group? Does she find she prefers others to her partner?

this chick, who's been a voyeur since high school, is getting so turned on by the orgy around her that she feels obligated to pull down her dress and perform topless while she waits for the set to end and she can more profitably use her mouth and lungs on the band, the band's manager, stage hands, the sound guy and security.

No, the band is playing at a private party, so the stagehands and security are minimal. She need only mouth the band (they did their own setup) and all attendees of all genders. Of course, everyone else is similarly affected. Eventually the fire department is called to separate the twisted-together 42-person daisy-chain.

Our protagonist awakens the next morning naked in jail with a bad hangover and too many smelly bunkmates. She's happy though!

I must respectfully disagree. Most swingers groups that I know cheerfully accept single women into their events. Single dudes, not so much.

I interpreted the OP's "swinging experience" statement as implying swapping. An individual joining a group would have more of an "orgy experience". YMMV.
