Do you think that the New Testament is a Get Out of Hell Free card? It isn't.

I choose to believe Paul when he said that we are no longer under the law, but under grace. Placing your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, believing that He died on the cross and rose from the dead IS a get out of hell free card. That's what the Bible says. I believe the Bible.

So...I guess you believe in all of these factual errors since they're in the bible as well.

Incredibly stupid things like:

Bugs have four legs.

The sun revolves around the flat Earth.

Rabbits and hares chew their cuds, just as cows do.

Ahaziah was two years older than his father, Jehoram.

The stars are little lights in the sky that are capable of falling to Earth like meteorites.

...and although there are many, many more, this is my personal favorite:

Pi equals exactly three.

As you stated before:

"That's what the Bible says. I believe the Bible."

3. If God is, indeed, Truth, why is it not blatant blasphemy when another wannabe so effortlessly lies through their teeth like this:

You quoted my reply that God doesn't ask us to love him only to believe in him. I give you John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him shall not die but have everlasting life. It's a free gift. All we have to do is believe. Yes he would like to have a relationship with us. He already loves us so, of course, he wants us to love him.

Your welcome,
Tryharder62 (Telling you the truth bro)

Funny, isn't it, that a Joel Osteen Bubble Gum Christian harlot still needs to insist that her god doesn't "ask us to love him only believe in him"...

...when the Son of God COMMANDS - before anything else - that...

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind...

Hey, xfrodobagginsx:

You do know that your sister in Wannabism there initially introduced herself on this Board by soliciting guys to PM her so they could fool around, right? That she's married and has kids, too, right?

Tell the Board - in your expert Bubble Gum opinion - how a harlot can ever OBEY the God of the Bible when she can't even manage to honor her own husband and family?

You know that part in your catholic church-canonized Bible where he told the harlot, Go and sin no more?

What do you think her fate was if, after being saved by the Christ himself, she DISOBEYED him and kept right on sinning?

Don't die. Afterlife then becomes a non-issue.

BTW 'god' is a job title, not a proper name.

Or is your lawyer named 'lawyer'?

God wants us all to believe. That's all you need to do to get the "reward" of eternal life. ( John 3:16) The passage you are talking about is when he is teaching believers. They ask him what the greatest commandment is and he answers to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind. He knows that not everyone will.

Eyer, I don't care what you think of me. I readily admit that I'm a sinner. The cool thing is that it's not over yet! Phillipians 1:6! So I keep movin'!

You better pray that you don't get killed in car accident on the way to confession. That would be a funny story when you show up in hell and explain to Satan that you're here because you ate a bologna sandwich on Good Friday.

I'm not Catholic.

Here is a good one though:

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her 80's and never married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon the pastor came to call and she lead him into her quaint sitting room.

She invited him to sit while she prepared tea. As he was facing an old Hammond organ, the young minister notice a cut glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water, and in the bowl, of all things, floated a condom.

When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat. The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and He could no longer resist.

'Miss Beatrice', he said, 'I wonder if you would tell me about this?' pointing to the bowl.

'Oh, yes,' she replied, 'Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground. The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter.' :D

Oh, and don't tell Eyer, but I am not a fan of Joel Olsteen. It seems to bring him pleasure to think I am but I'm not. I listen to my pastor the most. Then I like Tony Evans and Chuck Swindoll etc. I've been looking into different disorders that might explain his need to repeat the same stuff over and over. It's not looking good.:(

Gotta get a kick out of a two-bit harlot whose main impetus on this site is to fool around behind her husband's and children's backs, and who wannabe pontificates about what "God wants" and what "God knows" with such resounding 5¢ Bubble Gum Christian authority...

...but who can't even obey what she obviously gets off pontificating to others about.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV

Every wannabe naturally possesses the personal authority to proclaim they "believe", but the telltale signs of whether they actually do appear to the degree they OBEY "the will of my Father".

A philanderer fooling around behind his wife's and children's back on an internet porn board precisely exposes the degree of his "belief" each time he willfully disobeys how God commands an actual believer to always consider his wife.

And a harlot just as plainly exposes the exact validity of her "belief" as she Bubble Gum Christian pontificates to others about the will of God that she willfully disobeys because she more enjoys fucking around behind her husband's and children's backs.

Wannabe believers who love to wax unicornly about how great is their god and then pimp out the excuse of being a "sinner" to cover why they willfully don't obey their god, simply prove themselves that whatever god they say "believe" in isn't even god enough to save them from committing their own "sin" over and over and over again...

Blasphemy of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit just doesn't get much richer than that.

From only their own actions, it's so easy telling apart those who love to be sinners overwhelmingly more than they honor being obeyers.

Thankful for God's Grace!!!! I can't be perfect enough or do enough good works to get to heaven.

I am touched by your concern for my family! All is well right now. I will let you know if anything changes.

So tell us, why a god who inflicts eternal punishment on a few years of sin is worthy of worshipping?

First of all, the man who asserted that there was no eternal hell, was not the same man who wrote "The Trail Of Bood" The man who wrote "The Trail Of Blood" was James Milton Carroll. Lewis Carroll wrote that false doctrine article about there not being an eternal punishment.

With that said, God is worthy of worship because He is God. Those who go to hell, choose to go of their own free will.

2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

http://www.focusonthefamily.com/fai...he-bible-is-true/how-do-we-know-bible-is-true

Sometimes Christians quote the Bible to prove the Bible. Most skeptics are rightly cautious of this approach. Quoting the Bible to prove the Bible is viewed as being circular reasoning or illogical. After all, quoting the Bible to prove the Bible assumes the Bible is true, which is really the point of contention or discussion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circular_reasoning

Circular reasoning is not a formal logical fallacy but a pragmatic defect in an argument whereby the premises are just as much in need of proof or evidence as the conclusion, and as a consequence the argument fails to persuade. Other ways to express this are that there is no reason to accept the premises unless one already believes the conclusion, or that the premises provide no independent ground or evidence for the conclusion.

*Far better to use the works of such as Thomas of Aquinas and his arguments on natural theology.*

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_theology

Natural theology, once also termed physico-theology, is a type of theology that provides arguments for the existence of God based on reason and ordinary experience of nature. This distinguishes it from revealed theology, which is based on scripture and/or religious experiences, and also from transcendental theology, which is based on a priori reasoning.

St. Thomas Aquinas (c.1225–1274) presented several versions of the cosmological argument in his Summa Theologica, and of the teleological argument in his Summa Contra Gentiles. He presented the ontological argument, but rejected it in favor of proofs that invoke cause and effect alone. His quinque viae ("five ways") in those books attempted to prove the existence of God in different ways, including (as way #5) the goal-directed actions seen in nature.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summa_contra_Gentiles

Whereas the Summa Theologiæ was written to explain the Christian faith to theology students, the Summa contra Gentiles is more apologetic in tone, as it was written to explain and defend the Christian doctrine against unbelievers, with arguments adapted to fit the intended circumstances of its use, each article refuting a certain heretical belief or proposition. Instead of a mere elucidation of the length and breadth of Christian doctrine, Aquinas explains specific core articles of Christian belief.
