thankyou :kiss: gotta arrange my us embassy interview/innoculations etc..., (not a problem there) just the housing situation for my 2 who are staying here to sort out, give a month's work notice and i'm free to fly. so much had to be sorted/applied for/arranged with regards to my at-homes - including overturning ludicrous decisions - that it's been a draining year so far. the rewards will all be worth it, though. :cattail:

the gb's likely bored of hearing about our progress, but if i can't blurt here then it's not worth being a blurt thread, is it? :D

it is. my heart is chasing my pulse and i've been making a list of next steps, which involve getting my acro report back, getting my medical records, vaccinations, booking the medical, booking the visa interview etc..., etc..., etc.... all gotta be fitted in around work and everything else but this stuff is the fun bit compared to the housing battle.

I referred to my son as the Little on here and it ended up being a conversation about what that nickname means in other realms of Lit. It kind of ruined the nickname for me. Now he's just the kid.

And I think my bed would be dog side, kid side, and a sliver for my side. Thank goodness I took the king-size in the divorce.

In real life I call him Bugs (short for Bugsy - I like gangster/mafia movies). I will probably use that.

And speaking of Bugs, yesterday when I saw him and his dad I saw he got some type of testing score back from school where he ranked at the 84th percentile globally in reading. My book nerd heart soared. Now if only I could get his penmanship under control.
