They are pumping out the porta-a-potty at the construction site across the street from my office. Things like that keep me entertained during work hours.

I feel super guilty about calling in sick today...
Fuck it.
Let's drink!!

Trump has (deservedly so, judging from past experience) no particular strong reputation for macroeconomic policy insights.

But bully for him that he got around to saying this thought out loud this week:

Because he is certainly correct that the low-interest rate, artificially high stock market environment is surely a “false economy”, as he labels it.

Having to devise a coherent policy to address this artificial condition, were he to be elected, is surely a more demanding task than merely observing the emperor’s lack of garments. So I’m not holding my breath for coherent Trumpian solutions just yet. And given the US national political polls, any publications about his economic program plans may well be just cat-box liner come mid-November.

But sometimes correct diagnosis is the first step to proper treatment. And I don’t believe for a single minute that Hillary and Janet and Jack Lew and Tom Lopez and the rest of Team Obama have the foggiest notion of what kind of economic time bomb has been a-building in their “false economy”.

“More of the same” policy nostrums ain’t gonna work for ever, and we’ll all understand that quite well long before the 2020 political season.

Are thinking of going undercover? Tinkersquash's expose on the inner workings of Jehovah Witnesses outreach program? ;)
I would LOVE to do that! :D And then Mormonism. I would have to work my way up to Scientology, after all. Being an Agnostic Atheist in no way precludes me from being fascinated by some religions.

My city has a brightly colored sewage tanker with a huge sign painted on both sides, reading "THE CITY'S BEST SAUSAGES". I laugh every time.

You lament the terribleness of PBS daily yet you're perfectly ok with reading and regurgitating this tripe?

Theres no such thing as a false economy. It is what you have at any given time and I don't think trysails sitting out the "bubble" or investing in Gold.

Just because it's not what it used to be and not what anyone thinks it should be doesn't mean it's false and theres a lot more people wanting to be right and claim dooms coming while they buy up stock like horny bunnies..

Corrections, dips, drops and crashes aren't new and always happen.

Its still the same old adage. Know when to hold em, know when to fold em.

Anyone not buying in to and not heavily vested in the stock market is a fool.

Wow. It's September already.

Every year this happens. Summer just blows by in an instant. One minute, it's May and the next thing you know, it's September.

By contrast, winter seems interminable. One of these years, I'm going to go be a ski bum and see if that has the effect of making winter feel shorter.

Every quarter this happens. Ex dates fly by in an instant. One minute my cash account is empty and the next thing you know it's filled with dividend earnings.

What you own and its valuation are (and have always been) far more important than trying to figure the dips and dodges of the stock market.

Nevertheless, prudent and informed investors are well aware that this is not an "inexpensive" market. This is not the time to be sticking your neck out. Valuations are stretched because of the Federal Reserve's irresponsible suppression of short term interest rates. The near-zero interest rate policies have distorted virtually all interest rate-sensitive markets.

In this environment, anybody who doesn't have some cash reserves tucked away in a highly liquid, absolutely safe form is a fool.

What the hell is one supposed to wear to a networking event held at the baseball game? I'm trying to impress but I also have to walk a while to get to the stadium.

..
is this an east coast/west coast thing, fine, cap to be named later, although I think you might have to hold wings down to put it on

East coast/Midwest thing... Cubs cap is what I'd suggest. Either way, you'd have to hold her down to put it on.
