Who's with me, and what is it about big.... brains... that gets you going?

I'd even go so far as to say "the fact that they can hold a conversation", period. Which sometimes seems to be a rarity when one is discussing sexual, or other, topics.

I'd say intelligence remains after beauty fades, but having been married to my wife for 20 years, I have yet to see her beauty fade.

Perhaps it's because her brains are a vital component thereto!

And it's not just about being smart. I saw Mensa mentioned... I doubt I'd qualify there! Intelligence surpasses expansive knowledge.

You can have intelligence without expansive knowledge. But I've never met anyone who had expansive knowledge without intelligence.

The type of person I tend to attract is the damaged and kinky artist or intellectual. Not exactly sure if that's my type or just what's usually available. Dimness doesn't necessarily turn me off but cruelty and rudeness do the trick.

People who self-describe as sapiosexual tend to be into me, though.

There is something about the combination of intelligence and warmth that makes me start with the creepy breathing. It's a hard thing to define, or to find. I've met women who were supremely intelligent, yet lacked all human compassion.

I think there are many kinds of intelligence. Creative intelligence, social intelligence, emotional intelligence. Stupid is a choice to refrain from trying.

I've been accused by many a friend of being a sapiosexual. I'm not big on labels, but intelligence is a must. By engaging my mind, my entire being is engaged. There is something exhilarating about having one's mind challenged, to be forced to consider other possibilities. For me, intelligent conversation engages all senses and arouses passion. It's intoxicating.

It can be dark, it can be complex and it can be heady - and that's what intrigues me, what captivates me.

It defies logic but at the same time is the very epitome of logic.

I think anyone who is that intense, passionate, curious, etc needs to give their brain a break and be silly sometimes! I must be really smart because I'm silly a lot. Yeah, that's it.
