I was wondering what the process was for updating a existing work with a new draft that addresses minor grammatical and syntactical issues?

https://www.literotica.com/s/alpha-magus-ch-01

I published my first story, which is currently 4.76 with 250+ reviews, and I don't wall to lose that history, but at the same time I am thankfully getting some good feedback and would like to address a couple of the minor things that people have brought to my attention.

How do I update the chapter without losing everything?

Resubmit the story with the new text in place. Use the same title, tags, and description but put EDIT behind the title and in the note field. That way you keep all views, votes, and comments.

It might take up to a week or so to change over to the new text so be patient. Edits and such come after the stories are vetted and there is only one person doing it all.

Thanks TxRad, love your stories by the way.

When you say to put EDIT behind the title you mean at the end right. So if the title was originally

Code:
Alpha Magus Ch. 01

When I resubmit I would resubmit with

Code:
Alpha Magus Ch. 01 EDIT

And then also include EDIT in the moderator notes?

Just confirming the process before I make a mistake :D

Behind title correct and in the notes box. Laurel will take it from there.

Do you lose views and favorites?

Hey just reading this thread and had a question for my own edit.

I read the faq but it does not say whether or not you lose your views and favorites when you post an edit. So my question is simply that.

Do you lose your views and favorites when you post an edited story?

Thanks

From what people are saying above no, you will keep your views and votes. That is the primary purpose of this who EDITED naming business.

Cheers,
