For nearly ten years I spent my time flying between Orlando and Detroit. A couple of times a year I was on the floor pitching my company at Cobo Center. From time to time I had to get out of there to get away from too many people asking questions in an attempt to appear oh so clever.
About the second day of the first trip in Cobo I walked past the fist of Joe Louis (which seems to be a shrine in downtown Detroit) to a little church on the river. Reading the names and dates on the plagues puts life in perspective. The Mariners Church.
