My own experience is that people who try to assign irrational behavior as typical of one political party or another are probably retarded.

Theoretically new and improved are infinite in their distribution. But the frequency of new & improved events, apps, eruptions, whatever occur about as often as new prime numbers. The problem is that pro-slavery Democrats of the 19th century represented exactly what was wrong with Conservatism 200 years ago: their resistance to change (abolitionism at the time) killed thousands or even millions of African slaves. This batshit crazy you're seeing now with Republican Conservatives is actually mild compared to that: remember Conservatives back then forced us into an actual civil war, which is still the costliest war we ever fought, and way moreso considering our population back then.

Fun fact - those same vile, racist Democrats actually moved to the GOP, thanks to them being so heavily courted by master Republican strategist Barry Goldwater. In essence: Hail Hydra.
