Latest Fun With Numbers from our friends at Fivethirtyeight: Clinton currently has a firmer grip on North Carolina than Trump has on Texas.

I'd feel sorry for him if he wasn't such a douchecanoe.

I need to know. What is this douchecanoe?

Oh c'mon, guys. The press MADE Donald Trump. They followed and salivated over everything he said or did. And he ate it up. He didn't bother raising any money because he didn't think he needed to. To a TV star, any news is good, so he made all the news he could by being as outrageous as he could. But now, way too late in the game, he's discovered that the strategy that allowed him to peck down his many opponents in the primaries isn't playing as well on the national level. So what's he do now? Cry foul and complain that the media is being mean to him. The man flips from bully to victim so fast I'm surprised his neck hasn't snapped.

They will never admit they lost fair and square. EVER. The excuses usually don't start in mid-August, though.

(Didn't we have the exact same press corps one month ago, when Trump was ahead in the polls and gloating ran rampant in this thread?)

I seem to recall that too. They scurry away pretty quickly when the tide turns.

A month ago, Roger Ailes was still in charge at Fox.

You can't be serious. I watched both conventions and the press coverage of both, and the difference in coverage was ridiculous. The Republican convention was almost universally panned in the press, and the Democratic convention was almost universally praised. Anybody who thinks otherwise is wearing blinders.

Trump losing by 30 in NY where the voters know both candidates best. Not looking good.

When was the last time New York went for Republican presidential candidate?

How many times have TWO New Yorkers run against each other in the Presidential election?

Yeah, that was the point.

How many times have any New Yorkers made it to the general election?. Are you under the impression that if it was Bernie Sanders vs. Trump trump would be doing better in New York?

What is it about living in New York that would make a New Yorker better acquainted with Trump one of the most recognizable human beings on the planet that would not be available to people who don't live in New York?

So much for having a better week than last.

Trump is at 27%, the lowest in 20 years by substantial margins. You're arguing even harder than 2bob so I expect you'll be even more disappointed as the landslide grows.

Apparently old Rudy "a noun, a verb and 9/11" Giuliani seems to have forgotten that 9/11 ever happened.

People see him around and about, he's a very visible and public presence in the city. He's one of their own. But you know all that, you're just throwing sillyass arguments out there because you can.

The coverage wasn't ridiculous. The GOP convention was ridiculous. Rudy Mussalmi having an epileptic fit is ridiculous. Scott Baio? 25% approval rate back home Chris Crisco? That "Copper Chef" infomercial blew your convention out of the water.
