A lot of convicted pedophiles are usually murdered by other inmates during their time in prison.

They are prime targets for prison violence.
 
A young cop in Ohio just got brought up on charges for anally raping a 7 year old while she was in the hospital.

Cop and child rapist. Two reasons for inmates to kill him. Good riddance.
 
Pedos don't get murdered in prison very often these days because there are so many of them that they usually get their ow tier.
 
Should child rapists be eligible for the death penalty? I suppose so, as long as they keep their grades up and don't miss too much school.
 
In America, most death row inmates spend literally decades sitting on death row before they are actually executed.

Some of them spend so much time on death row, that they actually die from natural causes.

The only state that executes inmates relatively quickly is Texas.
 
A variation of this topic ("Do you agree with the death penalty?") came up a few months ago, and it led to many interesting discussions.
Apparently there are quite a few lawyers and people interested in social sciences here on Lit., which is cool.

In an ideal world and an ideal justice system, I think that many would like to see them get the chair.
Unfortunately, errors happen. And I wouldn't like to see even one innocent person (falsely accused and sentenced) get the chair, alongside thousands who deserve it.

By the same token: ironic that people who kill just one person get the death penalty in certain countries, whereas political leaders who commit genocide don't.

3 boys I knew have been on death row 30 years for murder. In the 80s they cut an elderly couple up with knives and dis[played the pieces to friends. Still there. Another guy I know has been on death row 20 years. His teenage girlfriends mom got pissed when she caught them fucking, so they murdered her, and weren't nice about how they did it. The kiddie girl friend is out now and has a baby. The girl sat atop ma while the boy cut her up.
 
No. I've never been a fan of the state murdering its citizens.

Not only would you be removing vermin from society.

I'd go a step further and saying people who talk about it all the time should too, but then half the GB would be gone.
 
Forget eligibility. Just shoot them when they're caught.

Same thing with those who abuse animals. Shot on sight when caught red handed.
 
Where we lived in Florida they have a hangin tree. Sadly it hasn't been used in years.
What a waste of a perfectly good Oak tree.
It's also not far from Rosewood, a fun place to live years ago.
