Where do you write?

There's a cafe one block away from me that I've been avoiding, because it's super hipstery and I hate coffee. But tonight, heat and circumstance drove me inside, and OMG! The place is huge, has tons of tables, and is air conditioned, which is much more than I can say for my apartment.

So, that's where my laptop and I will be from 5-7pm every weeknight.

It's made me curious where everyone else does their writing. Desk? Kitchen table? Couch? Dedicated office? She shed/man cave?

Is there a place that gets your creative juices flowing but also keeps you focused?

I have an office with as one could expect wall to wall Godzilla banners and old B monster movie posters and some original Bernie Wrightson art and posters of comic book covers. That awesome ambiance is made even better by the continuous flow of obnoxious metal music...and my dogs unnaturally loud snoring..

I tend to create in the car, usually at night, and dictate into Dragonspeak on my phone. Later, I can assemble and clean up the grammar.

I don't drink anymore, money don't grow on trees, my hands are too busy for a massage....

I forgot the body bag hanging in the corner and the swing out overhead arm that can be fitted with all sorts of bars, chains, and hooks. And I'd be careful snooping in the corner cabinet, ya might find things that will make you go bump in the night.
