This guy just LOVES getting fucked. Maybe he gave the North Koreans information and he feels he has to be punished for it. Palin as his running mate? That two ton albatross insured his failure. His mind is gone, gone, gone. No way does he deserve to be re-elected.

He does? I took his refusal to appear at the convention as him not supporting Trump.

He endorsed him. My opinion of McCain plummeted after his VP pick, it totally cratered after he endorsed Trump after the Donald's comments about McCain's war record.

So did I was, I was wondering if he'd come out sense in favor of Trump, I mean it keeps seeming like the only mainstream republican who's got his back is Ryan and Ryan doesn't REALLY have a choice. I mean when you look at the four most prominent who refused to show and presumably endorse the Bushes are probably done with politics until the next generation shows assuming they want to play. Romney and McCain are probably done and to the best of my knowledge don't have any dreams of a dynasty so they don't have to really work with the system anymore. Ryan still very much wants to be President and he cannot not support Trump.

kind of speaks to what a shitty candidate Hillary is IMO....

I think it was a Wall Street Journal where McCain blasted Trump on the Star father but McCain said he was still behind (I bet he wished he was bent over in front of him.) Trump.

But you live in CT and the Senator being a gentleman most likely would not comment on your political analysis. I on the other hand got a chuckle knowing some of the elected officials in your fine state.

And how bad off the GOP is right now......reality is both are pretty god damn foul to the extent after some rather epic infighting all around both sides are TOTALLY ignoring their teams scum while crying foul and pointing at the opposition for essentially doing the same and or other equally immoral/unethical shit.

Honestly I think it's going to shit the bed either way.

How many dems are jumping ship as opposed to repugs? Yeah.

That doesn't really mean much.

(R)'s always say "Fuck it" when they can't have their favorite brand of crazy.

And dems are notorious for their lemming power. D's would lock step and support anything the DNC nominates. Vlad the Impaler with a DNC endorsement could beat the (R)'s right now.

I don't even see how you make the connection. You don't endorse the other team's guy, it's simply not done. Collin Powell did endorse Obama and Ted couldn't bring himself to say vote for Hillary but. . .what does "Vote your conscious" mean in the context that he used it?

I don't think it says a damn thing about Hillary.

Few of the endorsements (or lack thereof) mean shit. Especially from sitting members of Congress. Trump can malign members of his own party as much as he wants now. He will pay the piper dearly IF he is elected and hopes to get anything done legislatively. He'll get schooled very quickly, and not just by Democrats. If he thinks Congressional Republicans are all going to fall in line just because he's sitting in the White House, he's even dumber than he acts.

Without a doubt. In fact from where I stand people refusing the endorse him stands out as a lot more important because once you're the nominee of your party I think it's assumed that your party is behind you. If only to the point of not letting the other guy win.

I'm honestly curious how his presidency would play out. To a morbid enough degree that if my vote mattered I'd be tempted to see it first hand. I mean while some things aren't happening like the Wall but I'm curious what excuse the Republicans in office would use to defy a president Trump. That to me sounds terribly similar to suicide as a party.

The lesson he will learn very quickly is not whether the party wishes to commit suicide, but whether he does and if wishes to become a lame duck President from his first day in office.

McConnell, Ryan and key committee chairman would huddle with the President-elect and ask him what main things he wishes to accomplish during his term and advise him whether they are feasible, and, if so, how long it would take to accomplish and what it will cost him, as well as how much negotiating room, if any, he has on those legislative objectives.

It will then be up to him to pay that price. Senators and Representatives who know what the hell they are doing tend to have political careers far longer than the current sitting President -- a fact that will be impressed upon him repeatedly.

Political suicide is that committed by a political leader who asks followers to fall on swords they don't have to fall on nor should be expected to.

Senators and Representatives first and foremost represent the needs and interests of the people in their states. That is a job a President Trump would have to help them fulfill if he has any hope of successfully frying bigger fish. There is little evidence so far that he has given that the least bit of thought.

I'm gonna defer to your wisdom on this one. It sounds right I just don't see how the Senators and Representatives make it fly. To me it looks like the Do Nothing Congress functions based on a few political realities the most important one now being that regardless of Obama's approval numbers the people who don't like him REALLY don't like him and will buy "We aren't doing anything in Congress to stop Obama from taking your guns and turning us into the USSR!"

Trump takes office, goes on TV and says the establishment thinks they know better than me. Which means they think they know better than YOU! Do they have careers that advance beyond that?

He did get hit in the head a lot for 5 years.

But I still think that he's war hero.

Another problem for Trump re the GOP is that he has no ground game to speak of, he's relying on state Republican organisations for his get out the vote push. In Ohio at least there is a distinct lack of enthusiasm from the state apparatus.

^^^^Desperation.

ask this under your real name and I will answer....

1. No, you wouldn't.

2. Regardless, I'll ask it, so that you have no excuse: How many Dems are jumping ship as opposed to Republicans?

That doesn't really mean much.

(R)'s always say "Fuck it" when they can't have their favorite brand of crazy.

A leading Republican saying "fuck it" is normal. A leading Republican denouncing their candidate for President is a whole different kettle of fish.

True but I'm talking about the voters.

The fact that the leadership is going just goes to show how destroyed the Republican party is right now.

I personally am enjoying watching all the Wall St./uber bucks whores on the RW and their plutocrat buddies get behind Clinton LOL

That shit is funny....the only way it could get better is if the Bush family were to directly endorse her LMFAO!!!

I lost all respect for McCain when he decided to suck Jerry (the US deserved the 9-11 attacks) Falwell's dick for votes after denouncing him right after Falwell and Robertson said over 3000 people deserved to die because of gays, lesbians and the ACLU.

Word is they want to but are not being allowed to do so.
