Here's How Donald Trump Could Become President

Are you certifiable. Trump better than most thrives on the media, positive or negative but the reality is that silence is golden.

Not really....he interrupted the DNC Convention by making comments about Russia....

But if Trump could only not react to EVERY single comment that is directed at him, things could be better. But the rulebook has been tossed out the window on this one....

And Trump seems to have come out on top for that DNC comment about Russia, it sure as fuck hasn't hurt him.

But Renard hits it on the head with when he mentions most people don't watch entire press conferences for a number of reasons. We get the highlights later and maybe go back if the speaker was personally important to us on something.

So essentially everytime a politician opens their mouth it's an opportunity to say something you can't take back like the 47% of people in this country or Bernies "I don't think she's qualified". Nobody and no amount of handlers are smart enough to parse your language well enough to keep you out of all the traps. To her credit Bill and Hillary are both above average in that regard but you can tell that they are spending 50% of their brainpower on making damn sure they craft every statement properly.

Bill Clinton, at least the old Bill Clinton, had a built in restrictor plate that kept his mouth from getting ahead of his brain 99% of the time. Actually, Barack Obama has one also, and you can see his working almost all the time. Bill used to hide it very well most of the time. No pauses, no stuttering. Really good politicians come with that feature built in from the factory.

Speaking of Bill, if she wins, Bill is going to hate being First Lady.....

Somebody earlier suggested I take a look at polls in Arizona. I have no idea why, but here's the latest:

https://www.scribd.com/document/319762745/Arizona-Poll-July-29th

Trump 48.8

Clinton 41.3

That poll should be no surprise to anyone. I saw one for Virginia today that did surprise me. Showed Trump with a four point lead. Maybe Kaine isn't all that well liked there, after all. I guess we shall soon see.

They did offend him. You may not like the fact he didn't take it lying down, but I doubt he cares what you think.

Exactly. All the Democrats ever do anymore is play the victim card.

All the Republicans ever do is simply accept the serious charge and try to apologize for it.

Problem is, Trump is a Democrat and he just throws it back in their face; after all, he's paid them enough for the privilege...

Not on his hot-button SJW issues...

He feels free to pop off with whatever comes to mind when given the opportunity to not let a tragedy go to waste.

Especially in his case. Too much good stuff in here:

Trump says Putin is 'not going to go into Ukraine,' despite Crimea

By Eric Bradner, CNN

Updated 1:55 PM ET, Sun July 31, 2016

Donald Trump insisted Russia's Vladimir Putin is 'not going to go into Ukraine'
Putin did just that in 2014, seizing Ukraine's Crimean peninsula

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump said Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin won't make a military move into Ukraine -- even though Putin already has done just that, seizing the country's Crimean peninsula.

"He's not going into Ukraine, OK, just so you understand. He's not going to go into Ukraine, all right? You can mark it down. You can put it down. You can take it anywhere you want," Trump said in an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week."

"Well, he's already there, isn't he?" Stephanoploulos responded, in a reference to Crimea, which Putin took from Ukraine in early 2014.

Trump said: "OK -- well, he's there in a certain way. But I'm not there. You have Obama there. And frankly, that whole part of the world is a mess under Obama with all the strength that you're talking about and all of the power of NATO and all of this. In the meantime, he's going away. He takes Crimea."

Stephanopoulos interjected to note that Trump has suggested he could recognize Russia's claim on Crimea over Ukraine's -- and Trump didn't back away from that possibility in the interview.

"I'm going to take a look at it," he said. "But you know, the people of Crimea, from what I've heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were. And you have to look at that, also ... just so you understand, that was done under Obama's administration."

Trump added: "And as far as the Ukraine is concerned, it's a mess. And that's under the Obama's administration with his strong ties to NATO. So with all of these strong ties to NATO, Ukraine is a mess. Crimea has been taken. Don't blame Donald Trump for that."

Stephanopoulos also pressed Trump on changes to the Republican platform removing calls for the provision of lethal weapons so the people of Ukraine can defend themselves, which Trump said he had nothing to do with.

And he asked about Trump's claims in recent years that he has a personal relationship with Putin.

"I have no relationship with Putin. I have no relationship with Putin," Trump said.
"Just so you understand, he said very nice things about me. But I have no relationship with him. I don't -- I've never met him," said Trump.

But in a November 2015 Republican primary debate, Trump had said of Putin: "I got to know him very well because we were both on '60 Minutes,' we were stablemates."

Russia Expert Stephen Cohen: Trump Wants To Stop The New Cold War

"Russia Expert Stephen Cohen: Trump Wants To Stop The New Cold War, But The American Media Just Doesn't Understand"

"Stephen F. Cohen, professor emeritus of Russian studies at NYU and Princeton, spoke with CNN's 'Smerconish' Saturday morning about Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and the 'New Cold War.'

Cohen says the media at large is doing a huge disservice to the American people by ignoring the substance of Trump's arguments about NATO and Russia, and buying the Clinton campaign's simplistic smear that Trump is a Russian "Manchurian candidate."

"That reckless branding of Trump as a Russian agent, most of it is coming from the Clinton campaign," Cohen said. "And they really need to stop."

"We're approaching a Cuban Missile Crisis level nuclear confrontation with Russia," he explained. "And there is absolutely no discussion, no debate, about this in the American media."

"Then along comes, unexpectedly, Donald Trump," he continued, "Who says he wants to end the New Cold War, and cooperate with Russia in various places... and --astonishingly-- the media is full of what only can be called neo-McCarthyite charges that he is a Russian agent, that he is a Manchurian candidate, and that he is Putin's client.""

Better relations with Russia should be wanted by every American.

Uh ... what? Trump is totally incoherent here. Palin sounds like Winston Churchill compared to this drivel.

Cohen isn't always wrong, but he's a pretty consistent apologist for Russia/the USSR and has been at least since the Brezhnev days.

Leaving aside their aggression in Ukraine, they've pretty blatantly tried to interfere in our election. Why should everything be business as usual after that?

Obviously, Russia is playing the role of kernel corn in this turd polishing election, a role whose affect is wholly determined by which side of the partisan piece of shit coin happens to be directing any given partisan piece of shit post.

Trump needs to stop running a conventional campaign.
I would say that claiming you "worked hard" is a sacrifice comparable to parents loosing their son to a roadside bomb in Iraq is pretty much an unconventional campaign.

They did offend him. You may not like the fact he didn't take it lying down, but I doubt he cares what you think.
Which part do you suppose offended him? The part about him not knowing what sacrifice is where he responded that he had by working hard, or the part about not having read the constitution, which he proved he hadn't by saying Kahn had no right to say that?

It's hardly Trump's fault these parents' son got killed in Iraq. If they had good sense they'd be pointing fingers at Hillary Clinton instead of Trump. They could also ask her what she's sacrificed, who she's lost. But no, they want to point their fingers at Trump and ignore the person they should more reasonably blame for their son's death.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, when Trump is attacked he counterattacks, no matter who attacks him. You may not like that, but tough shit.

Hillary Clinton isn't the one saying the Khans and their son shouldn't even be allowed into America.

I'm pretty sure they didn't claim it's Trump's fault he was killed.
Apparently your forget that it was Bush who invaded Iraq. Obama didn't become president until 4 years after their son was killed.

Trump wants to ban muslims and if he has his way he probably wouldn't let them back in the country if they went home to Pakistan to visit family, since that was his original desire.

Hillary Clinton isn't the one saying the Khans and their son shouldn't even be allowed into America.

Show me exactly where Trump said he wanted to deport muslim citizens?

We all know you are a fucking retard.

We all know your are the biggest liar in Lit.

I am just wondering which applies here...

What the fuck are you talking about? Bush? Obama? This is about Trump and Hillary. They are the candidates being discussed. Nobody else. Did you hear the father say anything about Bush or Obama?

You people are really reaching. Trump probably never knew these people even existed until they got up on stage the other night and attacked him.

Ok, it wasn't Hillary who invaded Iraq, it was Bush.
Happy now?

Apparently you also think working hard is a sacrifice like loosing a son serving his country since you're completely ignoring that comment. And you apparently think the Kahn's had no right to talk about Trump, who obviously hasn't read the constitution.
Do you also think if fine, like Trump does, to mock a grieving mother?

I never said he did, AJ. What he said was that there should be "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States ".
