Just had a dog groomer tell me she cant give my dogs a bath and haircut unless they've had all their shots which IDK even what the fuck she's talking about.

My dogs are pampered, indoor healthy dogs who have never had as much as a flea.

They gotta have a zillion dangerous shots of what IDK for a fucking haircut and a bath?

The fuck kinda shit is that?

It's a conspiracy between the government, dog groomers and pro-vaxxers for the benefit of Big Pharma.

I disagree with the need for yearly booster shots, which isn't backed up by data. but anyone not getting the initial shots even is a twat. it only takes a thirty second sniff/lick at the wrong tree for an animal to become infected.

They go out in their enclosed pen which is 15 x 40 with pea gravel and I take them for walks around the house and neighborhood once a week or so.

They get baths a few times a month and flea dips every three months and I spray the entire yard and such with insect control so theres no bugs or fleas or nada.

They had initial shots 7-9 and 13 years ago respectively including rabies but nothing since then.

They get heartworm medication and such.

Ive dealt with a half a dozen groomers over the years and no one ever refused to wash them and cut any of my pets hair because they didn't have a zillion in necessary shots.

Eh....whatever. I hooked up with a mobile groomer that comes right to the house.

Fuck that other broad.


Oh and Ive never bought a dog license. Thats the most ridiculous over reach I ever heard of. I drew the line there.

Having had insurance for animal ( but not dog) related business, I found my insurance could also be cheaper if I limited clientele to those who comply by the requirements for vaccine and worming (I would guess they fall into lower risk categories for other aspects of dog care/ responsibility Statistically. ).

All of the groomers in my area have the same requirement.

uh huh. businesses aren't being douchebags or doing it for fun. the ones who ask no questions may well have no insurance, so if something went wrong you'd be screwed.

personally, I just do the grooming myself.

I have a business applying chemicals to peoples lawns and spraying them 100 feet in the air and my insurance costs 2 grand for 2 million dollars umbrella coverage and general liability.

Good insurance is a part of doing good business.

If they have to follow all these rules to buy on the cheap, they may be under insured and I do not want to do business with them and trust them with my family members.
