These candidates suck.

Establishment democrats were warned that Clinton would do more poorly against Trump than Sanders, but they voted for her anyways.

Establishment republicans were warned that the creation of the tea baggers would be a doubled edged sword for them, but they ignored all the warning signs and let their party ride the crazy train.

And now look where we are: stuck with a pair of opportunists, who will each say or do anything to get elected.

ultimately,
whomever becomes president,
"things" will trudge along,
regardless.

it'd kinda the beauty
of the system.

There's sure to be a "Never Clinton" faction at the DNC convention next week. Things could change.

Gosh, I'm impressed.
A GB leftist (the OP) who's talking common sense.

Labels like that are pretty much why we are where we are. Left vs right when really it's a continuum.

I often am on the other side of the issues and I don't think he likes me any better than I like him personally, however he clearly thinks about each issue comes to his own opinion whether or not it fits the party line. I do the same.

As far as the OP, the only way to get both parties attention is to vote Johnson. If he wins, denying BOTH parties the exclusive franchise to give us our "only" supposedly viable candidate would well be worth it to most sane voters even if it means one or more of your favored issues are left behind.

I started a thread about the left- right paradigm and suggested a clockwise/ counter clockwise model where most people can probably agree on either at 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock position depending upon how you feel about authority.

I'm not sure anything would change, both parties got the candidate they wanted despite them both being woefully unqualified.

Well, maybe now Sanders would get the nomination since the email revelation.
I like how Clinton is blaming the Russians, like the Russians wrote all the emails.

Can we have a do over with you? Maybe your mom can sit in a pool of retard cum next time.

The Russians made her do it. Just like Pookie made AJ post a bunch of racist stuff on MLK day.

Nevermind that there's nothing linking Guesifer 2.0 (the person who did the hack) to the Russians.

That would be nice, wouldn't it? Now we have no choice but to work with what we've got. I don't like either Clinton or Trump.

No self-respecting woman would put up with her cheating husband humiliating her in front of the entire world and stay by his side when she has the means to leave him. They're not a traditional marriage, which I wouldn't focus on too much except for the fact that they are supposed to represent the values of the people of this country. Something tells me she and her husband do not have any values. They're the original Underwoods, power-hungry at the expense of America. She is too powerful, enough to get away with more than she should. Why would anyone vote for her?

Trump is a bigoted emotional bully, whether you like to hear it or not. He denies accusations with a simple "No that wasn't me saying this, doing that, blah blah blah, let's move on." And his followers fall for it. He's a Twitter drama queen, condescending and with a vengeful streak...yuck! The only thing Trump has said that I like (but we'll see what happens) is that he'll take care of the never-ending issue of illegal immigration. The worst part of it all is that the only things to back up the egomaniac BS he's feeding his fans is that he's rich and famous (he'll run the country out of the kindness of his own heart regardless of how stressful the job may be), he's powerful and successful (skills which will follow him into the presidency) and he gets things done ("you're fired" "I run my company I can do whatever I want"). He hasn't said anything the other power-hungry assholes out there haven't already said.

But I'd rather go with Trump because he's so proud he would probably rather give his entire wealth to Mexico than not follow through with the promises that get him elected.

Now we must focus on voting the bastards out or in to Congress!

I'm the least political person you will ever meet, but when I see that we have arrived at these two candidates, it couldn't be more obvious how fucked the system is.
