Huh. I just assumed that mile high was literal.

At my last job we had two fuel docks; the lower was located at 4560 feet elevation, the upper fuel dock was it 5280, exactly.

I used to refer to it (eroneously it would seem) as Denver.

The nomenclature there was to use elevation when naming various things. But of course the engineering department got to pick what the elevation we were building something to be, would be.

At one point the highest dump in the mine happened to be the Sixty-420 dump.
