What would be the reason to favorite a story and unfavorite it in the same day. Several times.

It can only happen with a registered account. Ask that person directly why they are doing it.

Sometimes people use it as a bookmark to go back and read the rest of it.

But some people's actions with favoriting and unfavoriting are just odd.

Favor and unfavor

Yes it's been two or three people, on guy has done this on three stories that I've posted. I thought it might have some thing to do with the rating system. A different guy used the favorite author, then unfavored four times. I tried to ask the first one, but never got a answer back.

I guess if it's no big deal i'll quit thinking about it. I thought it might be a comment on the story or the writer. One where i'm being so new that i didn't know. But the bookmark thing makes the most sense. I'll try and ask some more of the people who are doing it. Thanks Guys

Sometimes, when I'm tidying-up my favorites list, and I find chapters in a series scattered through the list, or out of sequence, I'll un-favorite them all, then go back in and re-favorite them so they appear as an in-sequence block in my faves list. Why anyone would do it several times in a day with authors though is beyond me.

Most likely they won't get a response. Most readers create toss away e-mail accounts to sign up for lit. Its not like authors where we get feedback through e-mails, readers rarely bother checking.

I learned that early on here when I tried to reach out to a few readers and never got responses, then someone explained it to me.
