It is a beautiful part of the country, pink.

The drive is awesome. I would recommend going I-70 so you can cut through the Colorado mountains. The views are spectacular.
 
The tri-cities area of Washington State, Lori. As soon as my mom's estate is settled and my house is ready to sell, I'm outta here. :)

It's fairly dry up there. I remember seeing a corral for radioactive tumbleweeds along a road in the Hanford Site. I also remember seeing the trench where the decommissioned sub reactors are stored.

Yes, you are correct, thor, it is very dry. It is desert area. What they do have is The Columbia and Snake rivers right at my back door, perfect for jet skiing and camping.
 
It has been raining buckets for the past two hours. The weather called for a shower. The husband is trying to smoke ribs, a pork loin and chicken.
Off to Toronto in the morning. 5 days of meetings, bite me.

I was going to bitch about the heatwave pushing temps into the 90's but then I saw how bad the people in the valley have it LOL, 106 and expected to be 110+ tomorrow?

Those poor bastards....that's almost Kuwait hot right there.

Oh well I'll take my 2-3 weeks in the 90's and dread their return next year when things cool back off.

That inland shit is insane...
