So much for having an honest discussion about guns

The Hildabeast just called the rifle used to murder the Dallas cops " a military weapon."

She is ether profoundly ingnorant or is deliberately fanning the flames to divide the country even more. In other words she's a miserable liar, but we already knew that.

Dude bought an AK in a Target parking lot for 600 dollars. Haven't heard about an SkS.

Another fucking retard who doesn't know shit about guns shooting his dick suck off again.

And the ATF say an AK 74 variant was recovered at the scene. Still no official word about an SkS that I can find. And even if it was an SkS, still a military weapon.

He allegedly bought an saiga 5.45, which is a civilian hunting version of an AK 74 legally in an exchange with a guy who wanted some publicity. That gun was not used in the shooting.

The 5.45 is not a "high powered" round, any more than 5.56 is a "high powered" round.

he used an SKS in the shooting, which looks like this:

If an second (worthless) assault weapons ban is passed, SKS rifles will still be able to be bought and sold legally.

Sez who?

What exactly is your question?

I realize you have little to no firearms knowledge. I'm glad to help you understand the basics.

Who says the guy used an SkS in the shooting? And while I don't masturbate while rubbing my cock on a gun like some of you septics, the army taught me a fair amount about firing them.

I'm not really interested in what you masturbate to.

If I was, I'd have asked.

Mr. Jenkins said Mr. Johnson had used a semiautomatic SKS rifle

Sounds like you bunch of wannabees would rather argue semantics instead of focusing on a problem...oh well..you're pretty safe in your basement

I'm going to discount the first link, because it reads like it was written by a ten year old on a sugar rush, but the NYT piece appears to be valid, fair enough.

So, moving on, would anyone like to explain to Miles the history of the SKS?

Why would you Bubba a perfectly good SkS?

And the bottom image is a Ruger Mini 14. That's a different gun.

You and Sean honestly have to win the prize for most passionately ignorant about firearms.

And how have I demonstrated my ignorance?

The Simonov Karbine... chambered in 7.62x39. It was developed by the Russians and imported to almost all com-block nations, before being generally decommissioned sometime around 1955. Millions were made, and some saw use in Vietnam, as the AK 47 hadn't seen widespread distribution to the viet cong.

The two guns fire the same round, and both operate on a gas-piston recoil ssytem, but otherwise, there are virtually no similarities. A "military" AK 47 is a select fire (full auto, burst fire, single shot), while the SkS is semi-auto only.

A civilian AK (along with EVERYTHING that people lump in as "assault rifles") is semi-auto only.

You can buy a decent SkS for about $300-400, unless you want a russian, which will set you back a few hundred more.

You're welcome.

So, a military weapon then.

No. Not since 1955. They were decommissioned longer ago than you've been alive.

If you want to claim "military" weapons are commonly available to the US public, let's support a bill that allows me to own them, because I'd gladly purchase a reasonably priced military weapon.

Why was the SKS developed?

Why was the SKS developed?

Do you know what the definition of "is" is?

There is not a single military in the world that has used the SkS in your lifetime.

To claim it is a "military weapon" is completely ignorant.

So, the British Army 18 pound field gun isn't a military weapon because the British Army don't use them any more. Got it.
