Not just patriotism, though that's cool. But I think that it should, at least to me, represent the coming together of all the residents of the United States. There's too much division and strife, anger and hostility towards one another. My hope is that we as Americans should come together and celebrate as one. For one day out of the year, can we agree on something together?

Hope that doesn't sound too corny or sappy
