Hmmm....
Well, I was excited about a vacation plan we hatched back in February. So, I went ahead and booked a very expensive place. I had not really noticed that I needed to cancel by the end of March, or risk losing the entire cost. Well...we didn't...and now we can't go. And no, we didn't get any vacation insurance...
So, I'm out a fair chunk of change. Sucks...

I'm a business consultant (software project management), so mistakes are a routine part of my working life, continually trying to hit moving targets mean you miss fairly often and have to scramble. The biggest mistake I made in the last year was trusting that a reputable company I was working with actually knew what they were talking about when down in the esoterica of their software code. Turns out they were completely off base.
Life itself? I'm not sure one thing stands out as the biggest success - there have been quite a few and the cumulative effect of all of them add up to the biggest success as I see it, life itself. (I'm healthy, happy, financially secure - I love and am loved - not sure what more a person can ask for in this life.)
When you measure yourself, do you measure yourself against yourself or against some external criteria?

Usually against an external criteria, but have plenty of internal measurements too.

Good question. Something with the forest service, that would allow me to be outside in some of the beautiful national parks and get paid for it
