A dedicated and intelligent POTUS elected in a time of world recession is virtually powerless to do anything about it. A truly stupid POTUS during good times can no more claim credit.

A country's economy is a ship driven by the currents of the world's economic and political state. Best a captain can do is not get driven on to the rocks and sink. Passengers may get tossed around and be heavily seasick but at least they aren't drowning.

Obama seems like a truly nice guy. A good family man and caring for others. Sounds like a good man to have in charge. At least this POTUS can spell and speak proper and does not espouse hatred of others.
