I very much hope you won't gather with torches and pitchforks... I am new here. And female. And a Lady with long sharp fingernails, keep that in mind and let me add, I respect pretty much every concept and opinion in the world, as long as free will and respect for others are honoured.

Okay. That said, let me, as a German, tell you that Europeans watch a lot of American media. A lot, lot, lot. And there is a profound difference between the British culture (and in a way most of the European ones in a way or another) and the American. When the settlers came over they obviously consented about installing a more friendly undertone in all social interaction than they knew from back home.
The British and other Europeans stayed back and their ways weren't mixed and blended from a vast number of cultures and languages.

Let's come back to today. The British just love their gossip. Their humor can be tacky or harsh and usually it is very black. They just love to disrepect, rebell and make fun of everything overly serious. That's their preferred style.
At the same time American consent of social and verbal interaction is made to bring best results when it comes to productivity and a peaceful life together, in every kind of community.

So American mass media condemns nipples on TV. It condemns bathing briefs European style. And it condemns and banishes cussing.

The British love their cussing. BDSM has a long tradition in their culture. So their papers print what people demand and like. What sells best.

So, in a nutshell don't let the media censor you and forbid you to cuss. There are movies from the 90s, Disney stuff, for God's sake, that is censored by beeping. A person who concentrates on those things is distracted, they direct their energy into the wrong direction. I am a big fan of freedom for everybody, in every possible way, as long as everyone is respected and no one harmed. Long live the freedom of speech, even it that means cussing and lactating racks in media.

Again, I didn't want to offend anyone. Quite the contrary- I wish the world would be one and people would decide about its faith instead of mass media or corrupt governments or major companies. I know a huge dream. But entirely possible. One day. IMO.
