Is there any problem with the most read (last 30 days) list? Or does it take several days for a story to appear there? I have 50000+ reads on my story published 3 days ago and I can't find it anywhere.

I think the 30 day list is compiled from the day before.

So if you're story is 3 days old, then today's list should be from yesterday's results. Then the 50,000 views should appear tomorrow.

If I'm answering this correctly...

Yeah, not everything around here runs as smoothly as planned or wished.

I have a story that should be in the 12 month list but isn't. So it looks as if that list is broke also.

The site is full of broken features that have been called out to the owners countless times.

We are finally at the point where all the 'coming soon' features are supposedly here, but the only thing noticeable so far is more broken features including the author favorites which is a big one for the authors here.

Don't hold your breath and you may as well stop posting about it before the boot licks start calling you names and telling you, you're free to leave.

What's really annoying is that I tried my damned to write a better story than I've ever done before. It's taken weeks and weeks to write an self edit ... and it runs into a brick wall. It seems the site owners are only interested in income, not support.

Yeah, they're making a fortune off a free site.

Most of the problems we are seeing are glitches from trying to roll out a new authors control page.

Free sites are popular for the public but might just happen to click on or even watch one of the many videos etc offered. And those 'best of' books that Lit sells? Even clicks mean revenue. More popular stories (and Lit is very popular) mean more income. This site hasn't had a makeover for years.

Yeah, any word on that? Haven't heard back from Manu after an initial thanks you're on the list message.

From what I've read here and there, they brought it on line for Beta testing and it screwed with some things. The last i heard, they were chasing down the problems.

What "best of" books that Lit sells?

Just how does someone clicking on a free site generate money?

The makeover is in progress and the main reason some things are being glitchy.

Presumably this from seven years ago: https://www.literotica.com/book/. It's still generating sales at Amazon.

And presumably the Web site makes its money from advertisers. The last time I saw a quote, it was rated as worth over $1 million. I can't see any reason why it continues to have some of the features that have gone defunct unless it's to make potential advertisers think they are functional.

I was supposed to be one of the beta testers. Guess they ran into more problems than they thought they might have. They were trying to do it sooner rather than later, but he didn't really know...

Not to forget www.amazon.com/Literotica-2-Very-Best-Literotica-com/ the second 'best of' still on sale. And clicking through links to an advertiser surely has earned Google many millions of dollars

Did the authors of the stories get a cut? Sure, the IOU gets sent to their email address.

The most read lists now appear to be fixed...at least mine is showing up where it should.

Thanks Manu

Raymond Chandler detailed how readers generally love the worst stories.
