One of my must-see shows. My nephew calls it 'Aunty Breezey Psycho time'. I'm not a fan of the arrogant spin-off though (can you profile in another culture?)

And yes, I'm a bit miffed at Derek Morgan's departure.

Do you have a 'must-see' show?

WAIT WTF?!? I'm only on season 8...DAMN!!!!! Not Derek!!!! FUCKING HELL...

Nope, I have no "must see" shows.

What book did you most recently recommend?

(he does NOT die, it's a good departure, so don't worry).

Lions of al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay.

Is there a fictional world you wish to inhabit?

I want to work with Hari Seldon at Second Foundation.

Is there a fictional character that inspired you to your current profession? (and if so, who?)

Ammar ibn Khairan, in a way (again, from Lions of Al-Rassan). And believe it or not, Star Trek, but instead of space, I get to explore the unknown of human existence.

I like this one, so Is there a fictional character that inspired you to your current profession? (and if so, who?)

Not really....I mean maybe I could lie and say the guy who made Thor's Hammer, but he never colored it.

 FB Miss you.

What fictional character makes you get hyped up?

Well...I don't know. Not really. Maybe the Micheal J. Fox Character in Secret of my success...but, I'm not really there.

If you were offered a position on Mars in the first colony, but obviously would be unlikely to return to earth for many years, if ever, would you take it?

Dumbledore :D

Probably. Although I doubt that there's alien culture that needs investigating :D

Should we go to Mars or fix the cesspool that is Earth?

Dumbledore :D

Both...

We certainly should fix Earth.
We should go to Mars because this is what Humans do. We explore, we expand. While sometimes this has bad consequences, it is, fundamentally, a major trait of our species.

If you could live at any time in history, what would pick?

It's a very dangerous question to ask a historical anthropologist, Sailor-my-man ;) :p

Right now? I'm on a Al-Andalus kick, so 13th C Southern Spain.

Would time travel be ever actualised?

I live for danger....:p

I argue not. At least not the way it is portrayed. If it were, we would know, since time travelers would have already visited us and we would be aware of it.

Do you think there is an ancient culture that handled sex better than modern cultures do?

In the Western world, sexual prudishness and gender binaries is a result of the Colonialism and the Enlightenment. Ask me about how that era fucked up scholarship, I dare you. :D

So yes, ancient Western cultures handled sex and gender and relationships than we do today.

Did you ever experience culture shock?

Well, grad school....;)

And China.

But I was prepared for China.

How did Colonialsim and the Enlightenment fuck up scholarship?
I'm in particular interested in the "fucking up" part, which I assume implies woman on top. :p

Snort. Grad school is a lifetime shock! :D

By introducing strict dichotomy, completely eliminating human fluidity within social understanding of human behaviour and inflexible categorisation that is based on faulty science. Pre-Enlightenment, you were expected to know and study and master at 5 subjects and in fact philosophy was highly valued as it indicated the height of critical thinking. Post? Only hard sciences were valued and you can only master one subject, and that's it.

What kind of movies do you tend to watch?

Action/Adventure....

How often do you use a thesaurus when you write?

I have never used a thunderous.

What aspect of your sexuality do you never share with your lovers?

If you've made it as far as lover, you almost always know all there is to know. I'm kinda an open book.

Is there a person in your past (platonic or not) that haunts your dreams regularly?

I can't think of any.

Nope. I'm lucky, I guess.

What is the fastest you've gone from no arousal to having an orgasm?

Less than 3 minutes in a parked car blow job. Best one ever.

What's the longest you've held off cumming?

Hmm maybe 4 minutes if I'm on my own! Lol I'm easy.

What's the longest it's ever taken you to get yourself to orgasm solo?

Some years ago I was on a medication that had a weird side effect of not letting me have an orgasm. Oh, I could get right up close, but the actual orgasm itself was just beyond reach. It was a weird combination of pleasure and frustration. Even vibrators would just get me all excited and wet...up until they eventually made me numb.

Are there any of your exes who would probably jump at the chance to have sex with you again?

I know of one, simply because she cut my hair a while after we broke up and asked if I would do her as payment?

HYE paid for sex with something other than money?

Yes, shocking, fascinating and arousing.

Do you have a book that you re-read when you want to ground yourself?

Many books. I like to read.

Which do you use more: paper books or e-books, and is there a difference?
