I would NOT go that far BUT I will concede the point. I have lost friends and family to the wars, some of whom were NOT Christian. I very much doubt they would care if a cross was placed for them. They are dead, aren't they? A memorial is for those of us left behind.

Stupid people are the reason people advocate eugenics.

Im sure the dead appreciate being remembered

I think those that complianed, those that complain about MERRY CHRISTMAS, Columbus Day etc etc

SHOULD BE BUTCHERED on LIVE TV and the families made to pay the expense

I admit to being far more Liberal than you. Hell we've talked about that long ago...but I gotta admit that in this case I understand the thought even if I would not applaud the actual deed.

(After all, stupid words should not ever equal death but I am one of those people who just ignore the words that have no bearing on my life...)

The Left is imposing nihilism on us with a religious fervor not unlike that displayed in the name of Gawd during the Crusades. Just because they're not "religious" doesn't make it a better way to impose your personal preferences on others.

I think this completely covers your point sufficiently to show that the only thing that matters to you is the existence of the culture, "Christian." It irks you greatly while unchecked Liberalism and its associated nonsense is acceptable, because it is irreligious.

I read it and my response went by what I'd read. Dead soldiers can not be OFFENDED by crosses, whether Christian or not...so why the fuss? The point is to remember them. A complaint about a memorial of any sort is just...silly.

My opinion, YMMV

Denying "in the Bible it says" and "Because Jesus" as legal arguments and imposing Christian dogma/ritual/practices/morals etc upon others with force of law is not nihilism, it's secularism.

I don't don't care about Christianity or how Christians want to live, I care when they try to tell me how to live and I'm not a fan of unchecked anything.

Some people believe it is their responsibility to be offended on behalf of someone else. Apparently they think they're too stupid to think for themselves.
 
I always find it hard to care about stuff like this and this one especially is nothing. The guy who complained was right and the city was right to do something about it. Big deal.
