Searching for Stories by Gender of Author

Is there a way to search for stories within a category that were written by a specific gender? I am curious to know how each sex tends to write up certain fetishes and what tends to be more popular for each one. Unfortunately the advanced search lets you search by keyword or tag in various categories.

Google is your best bet, but I don't think there's a Google script that can help you to pinpoint authors, especially based on their genders.

Even if you somehow manage to get the search script right, there's no way of knowing if someone claiming to be a female is really a female and vice versa.

Yeh, I figured that would be the case. And while I know the joke about most women on the internet are dudes, I think that one could find how many supposedly girl written stories sound more like men then vice versa. It would take more research. Too bad literotica doesn't have ok cupid like stats blog that discusses who tends to like what.

I don't know how people can distinguish between a "male" and a "female" writing. Apart from the obvious pointers, most clues are really arbitrary. Anyhow, I don't wanna debate on this topic ad nauseum.

So all the pretty tables are based on a heap of lies.

I, as jeanne_d_artois, used to say I am female. Now I admit that jeanne is an alt of oggbashan and is over 60. Where does jeanne fit?

The real me isn't oggbashan, nor jeanne_d_artois, nor Fag-Ash_Lil. They are all fictional creations, so how does the real me get identified in the statistics?

Sure. I'd take those numbers with a large allowance for misreporting. But I think the OP was talking about searching by those same self-reported demographics, so it's probably as close as they're likely to get.
