For the life of me I've never understood why American Psycho is so popular both in book and movie. I found the book to be just insufferable and the movie was very blah. Couple nice scenes but had trouble sitting through it.
I did like the scene with the two women where one was on her hands and knees and the other was beside psycho dude looking at her and he said "Well don't just stare at it, eat it."

american psycho isn't a horror movie, i'd call it a psychological thriller. it does have a good amount of violence, no doubt. but not egregiously.

plus there's a lot of christian bale's nekkid ass, so that may cause you to re-think things.
