I don't understand all the ins and outs of Tweeting yet but I'm learning. I've had a handle for a long time but never posted much.


I mostly talk to Nascar people. There are some wonderful philanthropists in the Nascar community. I really admire what they do.



Who do you post to the most? Are you even on Twitter?

I used to think that you'd have to be pretty big-headed to tweet, because "what do I have to say that would be interesting to anyone?"

But then I started using it, a bit like a blurt thread, and little by little I also started to like it.

I don't have many followers, but most of the ones I do have are quality!

And I just do not give a fat rat's ass any more. If I want to share my thoughts, I go to a specialized forum such as LIT, or the arts and conspiracy and obsession sites I have frequented. FidoNet echoes, usenet newsgroups, forum threads -- these have been my social media. Fuck twitter and facebook and all the rest. I have other concerns.

140-byte messages are suitable for Helen Keller jokes and not much more.

Social media expanded on a basic secular need... Social ranking.

All social media is comparative and sexual.

Zuckerberg originally was obsessed with hot or not pic comparisons... And women to barn animal comparisons.

Yea, it's on. I'm not exactly sure how the farm animals are going to fit into this whole thing (you can't really ever be sure with farm animals...), but I like the idea of comparing two people together.

Of course, places like the GB have been doing this since the late '90's.
