I think this was the struggle my so had too.
It took a while before my daughter stepped up and I also had to sacrifice sleep to help to.


There's nothing wrong with a man helping out.
Housework is the most tiring unpaid job on the planet.

hubby actually has been doing a lot of it while I was sick. He's been helping so much that I kind of slacked off a bit and managed to piss him off. He yelled at me yesterday for being a "lazy bitch"

Well I can be lazy sometimes. I admit to it. But lately I've been dealing with emotional and physical heath issues, so getting the motivation to do what I need to has been hard.

Yes! Absolutely. At six I'd already bee taught how to make my own bed, pick up after myself and help pick up around the house. Heck, I can remember sweeping and dusting. I wasn't allowed to use the mower to help cut grass until I was eleven though. After that it was expected. At the time I didn't understand my parents were preparing me to be able to take care of myself as an adult. It worked, none of my siblings or I ever got into serious trouble and always kept a paying job.

I hear that! I have a lot of health problems myself. And I've got depression and an anxiety disorder so it's not always easy to keep up. I've needed to straighten up for a couple of days now and I did do a bit yesterday but right now I'm so stiff and sore I just can't. And if I take too much medication it makes me tired so that won't help. Plus it just masks the pain. It doesn't get rid of it. So all the pain is still there, I just can't feel it. So I would do even more damage if I did that and I'd be a mess for like five days so not going to do that.

All I really have the energy and stamina for right now is posting a bit and watching some videos, honestly. So yeah, it gets hard. When you don't have health problems yourself I've noticed it's very hard to relate to people who do. I've had people tell me I "have it easy" because I don't work or wait in line at the DMV or the airport. I also remember a time when I was leaving my doctor's office and helping another patient (a 68-year-old woman on a walker) cross the street and someone honked at us and threw their hands up, like "Hey, move your asses!" Well I'm sorry the light turned green and you lost about ten seconds of your precious fucking time but I'm a clearly disabled guy with a cane literally helping an old lady cross the street. I'm not too concerned with your drive time. Maybe you should have left a few seconds earlier.

I guess that story is kind of funny in a way because of the old cliche of helping an old lady with a cane or something cross the street but that's literally what I was doing and some douchenozzle fucking got pissed off? Fuck you, homey. You can shove that horn right up your ass. Here, I'll help. It's not often at all that I say someone deserves a punch in the face but I think that idiot did.

omg somebody who gets it! I feel like bad enough the days I don't get anything done because I just can't deal with it; I don't need the man who says he loves me coming home and yelling at me because I didn't fold the laundry or do the dishes.....
