Poor guy.

Our last dog messed up her leg when she was just a pup. Our vet didn't think her keg would grow properly, but we found a great surgeon and her leg grew perfectly.

Ahh, the poor pup. Happy for the great outcome.

With the torn ACL there is not much we can do. Surgery is the option. Trying to get it done within the next few weeks, the longer we wait, the more pressure he is putting on his other knee. He is pretty much walking on 3 legs.

He is happy go lucky as ever though.

Well.....that happens, ( we are clothing optional at home- I am dressed today..) but hopefully not in the road in front of cars. I prefer to do it in the privacy of the garden really. Or....at beaches or whatever. And not in a nightie mid morning. It's one thing being a slob in a nightie in the day, it's another thing being out in the road proving it. I don't mind answering the door in the nightie, ( I keep something my the front door and back door for this purpose, but.....running around in the road just seems.....slovenly. A sun dress might have covered as much ( were I younger anyway).

At least it was an ok nightie. :)

I'm sure the passersby did not find in slovenly at all. :rose:

I feeling rather slovenly myself. I'm still in my robe and I should be packing my bags for my trip that starts later today but I'm not.

Yeah. He was doing great on meds and we were going to start therapy. Then he decided to do a little run around the yard and it was all over. Knee is busted.

On a positive note, I found a great vet. They will do the surgery for $1600. The last vet quoted me $5000-6000.

That sounds almost too good to be true.

My brother had his dog's ACL fixed ten years ago and it cost him $2000.
$1600 sounds like a relative bargain.

The day my dog gets a $1600 estimate for some condition is the day I say Farewell! to my dog.

I didn't read it. What did he say this time?
Talk about "foot in the mouth"-itis..:D

Sez the one who's "debut" on Lit. started with the gayest dog thread of them all

You follow my posts that closely? How sweet.

I don't have pets because I wont shell out for their care. This doesn't mean I would condone torturing animals. Good on you using gay as a slur though. You are a real class act.

Yup. Who's talking about class act.
Judging from the alts and trolls company that you keep and giggle with.

The true irony here is that he uses his main userid to "white knight" against gay slurs.

RacistDownSouth.
And stop this nonsense about me being Que. It's retarded, even for you.

You just put up and derrided a picture of a minority member (it belongs to someone who has Down syndrom. + is also overweight).
How progressive of you...:rolleyes::)

Seriously. My first quote was $5000. I don't think so.
The day my dog gets a $1600 estimate for some condition is the day I say Farewell! to my dog.
Pets cost money. You should not have a pet.
