Climate continues to change.

Climate is always changing. In the 70's they worried about 'Global Cooling'

This thread is about localized trends in weather, not climate.

Its where warm spots in summer are reported and cold spots in winter are ignored. Because "settled science."

"The sky is falling!"

Cry WOLF!

We are from the midwest. It got cold in winter
It got hot in summer.

We moved to Florida. It gets cool in winter
It gets hot in summers.

It's been doing this since we moved here, and it did it when we lived up north.

Which part of this map falls under "localized trends in weather"?

All of it. A season of weather is not "climate." Dummy.

You will notice a few localized weather oatterns (exactly as I said) COOLED. So, are those areas experiencing "climate change," or not? If not, why not? If so, why are they "changing" the opposite direction?

A little basic research in ocean currents will answer your question.

A little cherry-picked "research" in ocean currents will confirm my bias

Tell me, if we have record cold temperatures next winter will that "prove" we have arrested global warming?

No?

How about two years?

15?

Tell me what your standard is for statistical relevance on an earth eons old?

This is my favorite never-ending thread.

It has everything from silliness to scientific sophism...

It also completely negates your religious belief in man-made glow-ball warning...

Throw in a little study of solar cycles and you go from scientific sophism to just plain silly.

False premise...

The activities on the face of the earth have always inhabited the air, water and land. Furthermore, as we become more aware, we have made great strides in cleaning up our act in the last half-century in the first world.

However, it is comfortable to mindlessly argue by oft-repeated mantra as if repetition creates validity.

The activities on the earth 100 years ago? The wind blew and the smoke cleared. Today is a different story.

Humans are fucked.

It was 20 years ago today, that the earth was just about to die,
It's been going in and out of style,
Guaranteed to raise a smile.
So let me introduce to you the act you've known for all these years!

THE EARTH IS ABOUT TO DIE!!!

REPENT!

Just keep on dumping shit in the air, shit in the water.

Everything is going to be alright.

That's exactly what the right wing wants the privilege of doing. Time and time again, they claim that there are no repercussions for anything they do, and they will always fail to take any responsibility as the repercussions happen.

A season of weather?
That was a calendar year.
The cooled areas are dwarfed by the size of the heated areas so that was an especially idiotic comparison.
You should stick to trying to fool n00bs into thinking you're smart, this thread isn't working for you.

Are there non-calander years?

Oh, right. There wrre eons of years before calenders were invented.

Express one calander year as a percentage of, say, one eon.

So what you're saying, is that you have no empirical data to support your claims.

At least be a man and admit that you have nothing to support your claims, and that they're just your opinions, but you really really really feel them strongly.

Are you one of those kooks that believes the earth id 6000 years old ?!??

I guess I could google up some geologic record cites for my astonishing claim that the earth has been here for eons. . .

He'll never do it. He'll make some excuse like the WiFi he's stealing from the Wal•Mart is wonky or his S3 battery is dying.

And still no empirical data to support your asinine claims.

I'm aware he'll never do it. His kind if incapable of it.
