Anyone familiar with this movement?

Its a religion based on Torah laws that apply to non-Jews. There are seven laws that non-Jews are supposed to follow in order to live a righteous life and be reborn when the messiah comes. While Jews are supposed to follow over 500 laws of Moses, gentiles only have to follow the seven laws of Noah.

In this movement the Torah applies equally to all humans but with separate rules for Jews, chosen to follow a more stringent code, and the rest of the nations with the 7 laws.

Some Orthodox Rabbis now feel that their have a duty to reach out to all humans and let them know of this and are supporting the movement though they are still a small number at this point.

Is it similar to the naugahyde movement of Hinduism?

How can you worship naugahyde and not participate in illicit sexual relations?

Naugahyde vs. Real Corinthian Leather.

I'm conflicted. Was that just another name for the same shit?

This being a RenardRuse thread, I bet it will all come down to ISL and suicide bombers
and then to all muslims = bad.

But the subject of "comparative religions" is always a fascinating.
And it's particularly relevant now, with all the controversies around muslim reffugees /islamophobia /antisemitism in Europe.

I only wish I knew more about the topic to be able to contribute…:(

Why would anyone need a messiah if s/he just has to obey the laws themselves to win some prize?

Does this religion mention any of its righteous people who've followed the laws and been reborn because they have? You know, kinda like a Wailing Wall of Fame or something?

Or, just like Torah Jews, are they still waiting for One?

Not really. I'm not particularly vocal on the Islam question one way or another. In fact, I was still more or less ambivalent on the issue until the San Bernardino attack last Fall. I defended them for years even after 9/11. I am much more concerned about liberals than Islamics. Liberals are just using Islamics as another group to add to their coalition of victims now. Liberals will flush them like toilet paper as soon as they are of no political use to them, they do not really like them.

While I now think its a problem to an extent, I'm not an anti-Islam hawk by any means.

Kinda true. If you're referring to the "performance alts" that call themselves liberals.
