There is no natural alliance between blacks, Hispanics, or Asians, and no natural alliance between working class non-whites and upper middle class liberals who are mostly white Tofu eating yoga practicing hypocrites. All these groups will almost certainly come into a mass war after the conservative white working class is no longer available as a "common enemy" to keep them distracted from their own natural animosity to each other.

History has shown dumbverse societies eventually collapse into anarchy and civil war. It will be even messier here because of the way people are interspersed into the same regions and neighborhoods. It will likely be house to house warfare.

Of course, back in 2008 I thought there was no way Hispanics would ever vote for a black (even though he's not actually black but people think he is because the media says so). I was obviously wrong on that, so maybe the civil war won't start as a black vs. Hispanic conflict.

Nevertheless, there are so many potential fault lines it could start on combined with the country's longterm economic decline its inevitable and once it start it will fighting every which way between all kinds of groups and classes. It will be very messy, possibly make Syria look like a church picnic by comparison.

People say that it won't happen in the US because we don't have large ethnic sub-regions. Interersting point, but I don't think that matters. That just means it won't be a bilateral conflict but a free for all. The worse fighting in the Yugoslavian war was in mixed areas like Bosnia. Same thing in Syria and Iraq.

Large empires always break up over history. I am reading about China now. China is relatively homogenous compared to America today and its broken up and remerged many times in its history. The US will descend into anarchy and war at some point and probably in our lifetimes. Its inevitable.

Roughly 80% of the population resides upon roughly 20% of the land, and I imagine the feds will literally have their tyrannical hands full with simply trying to keep that 80/20 under control, i.e., simply attempting to keep up with the utter mayhem which will naturally ensue.

Since neither the USSA or its lemmings (who make up an overwhelming part of that 80%) really give a crap about the other 20% of Americans living in 80% of America now - and especially considering how virtually impossible it will prove to be for the feds to come anywhere close to controlling that 20/80 if the split you suggest above occurs - I see the 20% obtaining the individual freedom they seek from the overbearingly still growing USSA socialist government automatically, figuratively without firing a shot.

Then it'll just be another chance to see if we honorably remember old Ben's wise words as he exited Liberty Hall after signing the Constitution...

Interesting article from Charles Krauthammer from 1990 when the left was at its weakest point in the post-war era. He pretty much nailed it.

How to undermine a culture it cannot abide? By attacking its most central values: the idea of a common Western culture and the idea of a common American citizenship.

How? By proclaiming and championing a new oppressed, no longer the bloated and ungrateful working classes, but a new class of carefully selected ethnic and gender groups. Blacks, Hispanics, women, homosexuals, Native Americans - the list is long, the bids are open - are now wards of the left.

In their name is launched an all-out assault; first, on America's cultural past. As Prof. John Searle points out in The New York Review of Books, the demand is not just for an expansion of the West's cultural canon to include works by women or people of color, but the destruction of this canon as representative of a white-male-dominated system of cultural oppression.

So much for Western Civ. The other attack - on common citizenship - consists of the division of Americans into a hierarchy of legally preferred groups based on race and gender. From Canada to Lebanon, every other multi-ethnic society that has attempted such tribal stratification has come to grief. (Canada hangs by a thread; Lebanon has been shredded.)

The left, helped by a nobly motivated but intellectually bankrupt ``civil-rights community,'' would march us just that way.

Of the three projects, Balkanization is the most serious. America will survive both Saddam Hussein and the snail darter. But the setting of one ethnic group against another, the fracturing not just of American society but of the American idea, poses a threat that no outside agent in this post-Soviet world can match.

It might seem ridiculous to think such an integrated, prosperous, stable society such as ours could descend into a multi-belligerent civil conflagration of apocalyptic proportions.

However, we have been and are in a longterm economic decline. We are now on the second full generation that will achieve less relative economic prosperity as their parents or grandparents. With free trade having already devastated our economic foundation and shifted up to a retail and sit on your butt at a desk all day economy from one that actually makes and grows things, our economy decline will continue slowly but surely.

When an already dumbverse society is in either longterm decline or sudden rapid change people are ripe to retreat into the basest emotions of identity politics, particularly a society that has already had identity politics deliberately cultivated for decades by the ruling class to further their own selfish interests. If the US experiences both of those factors simultaneously, it very well can and more than likely will explode into a massive multi-belligerent civil war.

Many Yugoslavians were shocked when their once stable and largely integrated society exploded into a massive civil conflagration and disintegration along ethnic lines. While Croats, Serbs, Bosians, and others lived side by side as Yugoslavians for many years, the underlying ethnic identities and resentments were there repressed all along. With the rapid change unleashed after the death of Tito and the collapse of European Communism, neighbors turned on neighbors in an orgy of blood and wanton violence on all sides.

I believe its clear these same sorts of resentments are just under the surface of our society. Its a matter of time until it happens here and it will be ugly.
