I can't back up for shit....I hate backing up for any reason. But I am in and out of a space like that! I can do all the primping :rolleyes: with the car in motion. Don't sit there for half an hour buckling your seat belt....GO!

I park far away from the doors- away from all the inconsiderate idiots who have no qualms about distributing door dings on nice cars. They really irritate me- So, I walk.

I back in 100% of the time. I also drive a truck but you can call me Mater because I drive better in reverse than forward. :cool:

I can connect to a trailer WAY faster than the hubs. I have good truck bed/ hitch/ spacial awareness. I think it was from helping my dad as a kid and not being strong enough to muscle the 3 point PTO on the tractor so I had to get it right or I couldn't change the implements.

I also park in BFE and walk 95% on the time because with the lift on my truck, if someone parks on the line, I can't get into the truck at all.

The real bear of working in the city, and a very old city at that, is that with limited space, parking spots in the lots and garages are as small as humanly possible. Almost everyone has at least one ding or scrape on their door. It's unavoidable.

i'm enthralled with parking lot (or car park for you Brits) behavior. The people that always back into a stall, the people that pull straight through into a stall, those that drive around forever looking for that closest spot, those that can't back out of their stall to save their life. So what is it about parking between two straight lines along with a bunch of other people doing the exact same thing, that makes it so hard?
