I thought they withheld information to manipulate the evidence to work in their favour? It's unfortunate the York University students who complained about Jian assaulting them didn't report it to the police as instructed by their advisor at the time it happened.

The aftermath of this case has Gomeshi's lawyer, the delicious Marie Henein, taking flak from so called "womens groups" saying she has "betrayed her sisters" etc.

Basically, womens rights advocates are suggesting we move the sticks for female assault victims, which is a bit silly on the face of it.

I don't know if their argument has legs, but I do know all the laws concerning rape were passed by men so it's no wonder girls/women are crucified on the witness stand which the rapist is treated with kid gloves.
