My own tongue-in cheek definition of "progressives" :
People who claim to be kumbaia defenders of minority groups, while they troll and attack precisely the posters who hold a minority status in this forum:

1. n00bs

2. certain posters of mixed ethnicity and so on (under the convenient claim that They are racists, of course).

3. People who are suspected of being "female impersonators"

(Because: Let's say that -hypothetically- Ann and I were female impersonators. Given that we both stated -clearly- our disinterest in any romantic or cybersexual relationships,
- what do you think would motivate us to pose as females?
- and what do you think would motivate certain male posters to troll us with all these sexual inuendoes, while we never expressed any sexual interest in anyone from this forum?

I'd be very curious to read your answer to my last question. (because, even if your trolling was pretty "clean" from that pov, those bozzos are your friends).
