One might surmise, then, that Trump would oppose a project in which a predominately Chinese group of wealthy foreigners receive expedited visas in exchange for funding American businesses in a program that's been found to involve "a high risk of fraud." But Bloomberg Politics reports that a Trump-branded luxury building in Jersey City, New Jersey, is being partially funded in exactly that way:

Trump has licensed his brand name to the project.

CEO is Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The apartment tower is being built by Kushner Companies.

Earlier news reports have also found that Trump-branded clothing is manufactured in Mexico and China, that undocumented immigrants are employed on Trump construction sites, and that he has passed over hundreds of applications by U.S. residents to hire foreign workers for jobs in Florida.

All of Trump the Drumpf's boasts about protecting his fans, are hot air.
Trump slides to the back door, to make deals and to make money.
It is not personal. It's business.

So, for the record, are you saying this information isn't true or that it isn't true because Slate reported it? Just checking on how blind you plan to be on Trump's business double talk.

Good old Donald is a friend and puppet of Hilary Clinton. Look at the so called primaries he has won. In them you have lots of cross over voters because the state was a strong Clinton state. It if was a Sanders state then Trump has a hard time. He can't take any pressure just like Clinton and Obama. Can't stand freedom of the press, freedom of speech. Is against Human Rights and Civil Rights just like Clinton and Obama. The RNC and the DNC are both run by corrupt people who work together to get the worst candidates to run for office. Puppets. You know that Obama never did anything before he ran for President. And he has never been a leader, but all his Departments and advisers are those who really control him and run things. That is why his administration is so corrupt. Those who back Trump aren't Republicans any more than those who back Clinton or Sanders are Democrats. Both parties have either sold out or been taken over and the will and rights of the people do not count.

I could see Trump as someone's dupe (since he's so driven by having his ego fed), but I'd have a great deal of difficulty seeing him as anyone's puppet.

what is wrong with following the LEGAL BUSINESS for MAKING MONEY?

Still think he is a Clinton mole. I might just die laughing if he gets the nod then bails leaving the Republicans hanging.

Last night Trump declared that the Trump winery is the largest one on the East Coast. Anyone have stats on that? It's in my town and it doesn't seem like it's even the largest one in this region.

Later: Nope, it appears he's lying about this too. http://spectator.org/blog/65730/no-donald-trump-does-not-have-largest-winery-east-coast
Nearly all of the "Trump" products he was bragging about aren't actually owned by him or have gone out of business. In addition to the wine, the "Trump Steaks" were from, hilariously, "Bush brothers" who merely package meats for his properties, Trump brand water is just relabeled bottled water from another company just like the steaks, Trump magazine is a custom annual publication put together for his hotels.

The man is a pathological liar. Just because you slap your name on something doesn't mean that you made it idiot.

Trump supporters like girls. The others, not so much.

LOL you realize that's what most companies do with practically every product imaginable right?

Hell if you look at most shit I think you will find it's separated from it's parent company by at least 2-3 hands before the end consumer gets it. If it was made in some place like China/Vietnam/Korea/India/Mexico it's likely more.

The winery, for one, is real. It's here, where I live, and it's operated by Trump's son, Eric. It was put in and its reputation built up by someone else, though. The story behind it is typical Trump.

The estate was owned by John Kluge, CEO of Media General and one of the richest men in the States (and dead now). He was married to a German showgirl, Patricia Kluge, who had him build one of the biggest houses in the region, Albemarle House, on the property. When the (black) governor of Virginia, Douglas Wilder, appointed her to the University of Virginia Board of Visitors, people started to look into that relationship and discovered that the governor's helicopter was landing in the front yard of Albemarle House frequently while Kluge was off on business. They had adopted a son. In the divorce, Patricia got Albemarle House and enough land to put in a winery. Kluge, in a fit of mischief, though, gave the front yard and drive to the house to the adopted son.

When Patricia Kluge grossly overextended herself in the winery, furnishing the house, and donating buildings to the University of Virginia, she put Albemarle House up for sale for $100 million (but was going to keep the winery, whose reputation she had built up). In comes Donald Trump to "save" her. First he bought the front yard and drive of the house from the executors of the adopted son. Then he fenced them, put up "no trespassing signs" and let the yard go wild. He wound up buying the house and winery for $7 million and has turned the house into a B&B. (He hasn't given anything to the nearby UVa yet, though, to my knowledge--or to anyone else in the area not named Trump.)

Patricia Kluge was bankrupted and is living in New York now. Part of the deal on selling to Trump was that she was to become the manager of the winery and continue living on the estate. He let her go after a year. He's tried to put in a golf course on the property, but the neighbors are in the top 1 percent too, so he's not having much luck with that. (Patricia Kluge had similar problems with putting in the winery to begin with).

He owns the winery, but he acquired it in a sleazy scheme, and he didn't develop it or establish its reputation.

Or wins the White House and shows his liberal Democratic underpinnings.

Back in my shitwork days I occasionally worked for liquor and paint distributors. Every two-bit retail outlet was supplied their own "private label". Our business was mainly pasting the right labels on containers to be shipped. You, Phineas T. Quackenbush, can have your own Phineas T. Quackenbush-brand vokda or ale or turpentine or primer. Nearby shops did the same with almost any generic product. That's how house brands exist. Only the labels vary.

My bro-in-law (the one who grew up in Panama riding a unicycle) is a printer whose shop produces ephemeral 'magazines' for realtors, business groups, clubs, etc. This is pretty cheap stuff. You want a magazine about You And Your Life or whatever? They'll whomp one out for you for the price of a used car.

Tromp-brand whatever. Ain't no big thang.

Oh shit, I fear the inevitable: Tromp-brand condoms. In colors. Maybe pair those with Tromp-brand anti-hemorrhoid suppositories. Tromp-brand douches and ringworm treatments. Tromp-brand date-rape drugs. Tromp-brand viagra.

And for gamblers broken by his bankrupt casinos: Tromp-brand loaded dice and marked cards. Whatever it takes to win, hey?

No Trump owned ranch. No Trump cattle. No Trump beef steaks.
No Trump owned vineyards. No Trump grapes.
No Trump owned water source
No pristine, untouched, clean fresh water from a Trump source.

Trump cannot vouch for legitimacy of source, because Trump has no legitimate connection.

The Daily Show” actually did check it out and discovered the disclaimer on the Trump Winery website which reads “not owned, managed or affiliated with Donald J. Trump.”

These are not Trump steaks,” Klepper continued. “There use to be a thing called Trump Steaks. Back in 2007, Trump use to sell them through the Sharper Image catalogue. I assume between the dog Segway and the ionic masturbation wand…. According to Sharper Image’s then CEO, they literally sold almost no steaks.

http://www.npr.org/2016/03/09/46983...-why-donald-doesnt-own-most-of-those-products

DONALD TRUMP: So you have the water. You have the steaks. You have the airline that I sold. I mean, what's wrong with selling? Every once in a while, you can sell something. You have the wines and all of that.

Provision Company, a West Palm Beach vendor that merely supplies meat to Trump resorts. A Bush Brothers spokesman says Trump has no ownership stake in the business. OK, so what about Trump Water?

TRUMP: Well, it's a private little water company, and I supply the water for all my places. And it's good, but it's very good.

HORSLEY: Reporters who looked at that water, like Zeke Miller of Time Magazine, noticed it's bottled in Connecticut by a company called Village Springs. A spokeswoman there says the company supplies private-label water to many customers. Donald Trump has no financial stake in the operation. She referred other questions to the Trump campaign which didn't respond to a request for comment.

No Trump owned vineyards. No Trump grapes.

What part of he does own Trump winery in Albemarle County, Virginia, can't you get? Or at least paid for it; he might have put it in the name of his son, Erick, who runs it. I can practically see it from my house. Most of those of us living here aren't wild about him being here.

The Web site saying he doesn't own it is likely just connected with one of his shell game tax dodges. It's all too complex and blatant for his supporters to understand, though.

To a great extent, though, I think, this is all like the workings of trolls on Web sites such as Literotica. The Trump supporters don't believe any of this stuff either, but they have no regard for the truth. They get more of a kick out of just refusing to see reason and watching nonsupporters going red in the face over the irrationality of it all. Paramount to them is "sticking it to 'the man'," which is what Trump is consciously doing--even to say that he could shoot someone dead on stage during a rally and his minions would declare he didn't do it. You see that right here on the forum. Posters picking some silly issue to make paramount while obviously ignoring all reason and actual self-interest. They do it just to see the reaction. Well, they could be doing it because they are dumb as rocks also.

Trump’s winery is actually situated on a 1,300-acre estate and planted with about 200 acres of French vinifera variety grapes.

After her 1990 divorce from Kluge, who died in 2010, Patricia Kluge built the vineyard and winery, which she and her husband, William Moses, lost in foreclosure.

Yep, in his press conference Trump said the winery was put in by John Kluge, who Trump said is the richest man in the world. Kluge is dead and was dead when the winery was put in and he wasn't quite the richest man in the world. Trump also said the winery was 2,000 acres, and, as the Daily Progress noted, it's only 1,300 acres--and isn't all in grape vines.

Another Trump gaff in the press conference: He said the winery was near Thomas Jefferson's Memorial. The Jefferson Memorial is in Washington, D.C. The winery is near Jefferson's home, Monticello.
