banners = spam?

Greetings, I'm a newbie. Clearly

I have a question - it is allowed on this forum to use banners/images in posts or are they considered as spam.
I have a flagcounter banner, like this:

that counts visits and flags. It's not spam, you don't even need to click it or anything.
The image leads you to my FC profile if you want to click on it.
