With our recent snowstorm government workers considered non-essential were told to stay home for the day. Needless to say some folks asked what was considered non-essential.

The folks who process your tax refunds, work permits, vehicle registration, business licenses and many other related categories. Nothing important you'd get upset about if you didn't get what you were waiting for.

If you really want to cut government and the budget, stop private industry from leeching off the taxpayer which includes getting rid of the tens of thousands of contractors. They should get real jobs, not one on the public dole.
