Woo Hoo, my new MacBook pro showed up after a bit of a shipping snafu.
I hate this time of the year. Produce is insanely expensive. Who pays $8 for a bundle celery? Not me.
$8!!??
Yup. $6 for romaine lettuce, that looks quite sad. $6 for cauliflower and broccoli and it is not even a full head, more like a quarter.
I guess celery is high in demand!
I am now purchasing frozen veggies. The prices ease up around March/April.
We blame our prices, on your freeze!

Red quinoa was on sale at the grocery store, from 7.99 to 5.99, and then they had $2 off coupons attached to the box! I'll take that price, tyvm.
I have to get my quinoa from Amazon, like a freaking caveman.![]()
That's a euphemism, right? *eyebrow waggle*Fuck you, Clint loves my quinoa.
Nice! I'm on my old old old one.....![]()

ETA: Des brings up a good point. Is this about defending Mann? Or chronic penises? And what is a chronic penis? Kthx
Your veggie prices (especially those imported from the States) are directly related to the fall in the price of oil. When crude prices fall, they bring the Canadian dollar with it. Which ups the price of things imported from the States.
AND, I thought it because the winter was too cold in Europe.
That was from a couple of months ago. Have any actually returned?
I heard about a native tribe deep in the backwaters of the Amazonian jungle who have never even heard of Amazon!
