great pics, gentlemen! Love the bee pics, Simon. I have large garden in the back and front with lots of flowers. I have two amelanchier trees (serviceberry), lavender, goldenrod, coneflower, hibiscus, japanese tree lilac, old fashioned lilace, hostas, roses, hydrangea, etc. I also leave the clover in my lawn. I don't have the "pristine" lawn my neighbors have. I also don't cut back my garden in the fall. I leave it for spring so the birds can have access to seeds. The yellow finch love the purple coneflower.

Oh, and keep up the great pics, guys!

Rae, now that is a bee friendly garden! I guess the clover, goldenrod and lavender especially. Good on you for letting your lawn grow a little. I'll look up that tree as I don't know it. Roses are delightful but, excepting single varieties, inaccessible to pollinators. Altogether a wonderful display!

Fine shot, Michael! And the Gulf so calm that the beer bottle sits still there! What of the catch that day?

It was a very beautiful late Nov day, a little chilly in the morn but warmed up nicely.
We were 60 miles out in the stream. I am sad to say that is the 1 that got away after an hour and 40min battle.

We ended the day with 3 yellowfin, the smallest being #110 with the largest just touching the #190 mark and the one that got shark ate ( the one I was fighting in the pic ) we estimated to be over #200.
As well as a 3 man limit of Red fish and Speckled trout we caught on the way back to the barn.

one of my goals to deep see fish.

I"ve done some party boat runs, but that isn't nearly the same.

caught a hellacious skate once... lol

Long time lurker first time poster. I thought I would share some before lap swim workout pics

Mind if I take a dip with you?

Making five gallons of hard cider (combine six gallons of apple cider and champagne yeast in a clean carboy and wait a few weeks):

That sounds yummy!

Simon, I don't grow hybrid teas. I stick with rugosas, shrub roses. Not so fussy. Amelanchier grows about 15-20 feet high. Flowers in the spring, edible berries in early summer and great fall foliage. Berries are similar to blueberries.

Three guys my wife loves to listen to, as do I. British Army, voices like pros.
Ballads about love, longing, separation, homecoming, loss.
