I have dreams sometimes where I give birth to these cats. ( childless people, huh...but cats are a really good shape to give birth to in my dreams, they just slip on out......) So....no.
But I'll take MORE cats.
After my kids were grown up I had to confide in them that half the time I looked really angry, I was trying pretty hard not to laugh.
Son opens every water bottle in the house and makes a slip and slide at 3 am out of the living room tile?
"Kid's got imagination..."
Yes, she and I can paint cats' faces together. Fun! And I LOVE pumpkin pie!
Oh man, late night slip n slide, I'm in!
Yeah, it's mostly good. I have successfully taught her to sort of navigate a first person shooter. Soon, I think, she will be able to fend for herself.
Right? Fortunately the problem evaporated. A Costco sized bottle of baby lotion all over his walls took longer to clean and caused some nausea for a bit, but it could have been worse.
Similar parenting styles then. Taught my daughter to click on sheep in the original Warcraft until they exploded. Son learned about kill stealing on my lap with my fire wizard in Dark Age of Camelot.
My daughter liked to fish in Everquest and I would set her up in the halfling town, nice and safe, until she moved, nearly drowned, panicked and rooted and dotted herself.
Can you blame him though? Clearly his slip n slide technology was becoming more advanced. He mastered the horizontal. The only path left was clearly verticle.
Nice!
She likes to play Hearthstone with me. Though she insists on hitting end turn as soon as it's my turn.
Teaming up is fun! Though ineffective in game.
We played one game of Halo with me moving the sticks and her operating the trigger. I would just point the reticle over people and hope she fired. Actually got two kills. My only regret is that those two people have no idea how embarassed they should be.
Aaaand I should sleep. Night!
It was still dark!
...here.
And now it's snowing. I can't tie them together...but I'm trying to figure out how.
I don't know, anytime someone tries to bind darkness and ice it never seems to end well.
I've read Narnia.
But there's a Reepicheep somewhere!
My son just gave me a mangled candy heart he found. It's smashed and split. He put it in my hand carefully and said "This is for you because our love is sometimes messed up."
So it was probably him about the snow.
I feel more interpersonal relationships should be expressd with food metaphors:
I'm buying you curry, because we're enjoying each other now and will regret it later.
Here is a jolly rancher, because you're sweet but I kind of want to choke you.
Etc.
You should write menus for Valentine's Day.
"Our special tonight is a surf and turf with filet mignon and lobster with butter sauce. It will start rich and exciting, with each bite a new experience. But eventually it will grow cold. Distant. What was once exciting has become the mundane. What was once new turns into the routine. Although the filet mignon seemed the perfect coupling to the lobster at first, time will be the ultimate judge of that test."
Hey beautiful! How are you feeling today? I hope you're better!
Hi! Feeling better not myself though.. I took 1/2 the prednisone and it helps, but I don't like taking it ...
How are you doing?
Hope you are well soon!
I'm...actually great. I don't have to work anymore.
So I'm just writing as much as I want and getting sleep. It's...like reincarnation into a happy not sleepy person.
Thank you! It will all get sorted, it just may take some time.
You don't have to work ever again?
Hope you are well soon!
