Deleting my own thread

Members can't delete their own posts or edit the titles.

If it's in a section of the forum that has a moderator, you can PM the moderator and ask for it to be deleted, or utilize the "report" button at the bottom of the post to do the same thing.

Really, if it's just a matter of nobody is responding, I'd say to just shrug and move on. No need to remove it. You might end up being surprised a day or two later when someone sees it and responds.

Not everybody is online at the same time. You have day crowds, night crowds, weekend crowds, weekday crowds, etc. The people who may be interested may not have stopped by the forum yet.

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll leave it be ... makes sense. Cheers !

How can I delete my own thread that nobody is interested? :(
Lit is configured so that users cannot delete anything (except attachments) because deleting a thread or post deletes every reply to that thread or post and can affect other users access to avatars, custom titles, and PM storage allotments (and anything else based on post counts.)

Your best option is to edit the post to "disregard this thread" and move on with your life. ...or just move on without doing anything to your thread.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll move on with my life. :D

You can delete the post. Replace the text with ...... six dots. Then save. The post is gone and nobody the wiser.

If no one is interested in the thread is simply fades to obscurity anyway.

Dropping off a forum's front page equals submerging in the La Brea tar pits (redundancy noted). The thread can be recovered, but only with some effort, like dredging sabretooth or mastodon bones from thick goo. Let it slide, dewd. Time heals all wounds (and wounds all heels).

Don't worry buddy, it won't prevent me from sleeping. :D
