Thank you, Biker! :kiss: As a photographer, I'm sure you'll be distracted by the peculiar lighting - my bum seems to be a completely different colour. I don't think the photographer's mind was entirely focused on the photography, perhaps?! :devil:

Thank you for the kind welcome. I'm glad that you like the lunar view of my AV pic. I've always liked astronomy and have spent a good bit of time with my telescope also (why does that sound like I mean something dirty on this site???) :) I wish that I could claim that the AV pic was one that I took, but it's not.

I certainly do like the pics and have great appreciation that the virtual wall can have that infinite length. I'm this morning catching up on your pics from the past couple of days...oooo myyyyyyy. Wow, you look amazing...you look lovely...you look SEXYYYY AS HELL! (it had to be said) :D Thanks for sharing those.

*laughs* No, telescopes can't really be mentioned in the Playground without a certain amount of sniggering at the back... I do wonder, though, how big yours might be? :devil:

Mine is a Meade... I am lucky enough to live in an area with very little light pollution, there is no artificial lighting, so it's possible to get a great view on a clear night.

Well, my 'telescope' if capable of high magnification..yep....gotta wide aperture and a long focal length of ....oh wait, sorry, I think that I misunderstood. You meant of the REAL telescope. Oops, my bad :D

I'm not sure the brand or actual specs of my telescope. It isn't a very expensive one, by any means, so a pretty basic refractor. It is enough to give a view of Saturn's rings and to make out Jupiter's largest moons as pinpoints of light. It actually does a pretty good job on the moon, looking right along the shadow gives some good contrast for Mtns and craters. I'm in a spot with quite a bit of light pollution these days, so I don't do as much viewing as I did when I was in darker locations.

And you are welcome for the compliments. I'm just speaking the truth! :)

Mine's a refractor too, and I see the same kind of stuff you do, when I can work out which is the right direction :confused: I was surprised when first I had it that the moon is better observed when not full, as you say the edge between light and dark gives good shadows for lunar features as it waxes and wanes.

And as for your 'telescope', well that sounds very appealing :eek: I do like a good aperture... :devil:

I'm glad that you like the aperture of my 'telescope'. Now if only I could suitable adjust it for your...needs ;-P

I do actually find that my real telescope is best for that lunar viewing just as you said; during waning and waxing right along the shadow where you can really see the nice contrasts in lighting

Oh numeniusa...you suddenly have me thinking of you just....adjusting the heck out of me. Oh, that those thoughts just significantly increased my focal length!
