A Moralist Walks Into A Porn Board...

I don't like these sort of negative polls either.

There was a similar one called " Who's the stupid poster on Lit.?" a few days ago.
One poster jumped in and gave some names. I was a bit taken aback, since I perceived two of those named as being more clever than the person who nominated them.
Not that I'm putting myself as a standard; just saying that people are different and have different standards.

These polls remind me too much of the ones that my colleagues used to do in high school: "Who's the hottest guy/girl? Who's the ugliest or creepiest one?

I don't think I would call Ann a moralist. So far I think i've only seen her morally outraged at the harm, or potential harm of women and children. Which everyone should be outraged about. I don't recall any religious nonsense like Eyer or BB.

I'm pro-life. That's just not acceptable in Dick's World.

If being opposed to rape, child sexual abuse, and violence toward women makes one a "moralist", I suppose I'm a moralist. I also bet I'm having more sex than 90% of you. And no, masturbation is not sex.

No, these sorts of comments make one a "moralist".

Seriously?

You're projecting.

Just because you have lived a life of depravity which you are more than willing to admit to, such as your fondness of anal sex, doesn't give you the right to assume that in someone you have absolutely no personal knowledge about.

You know, for a moderator, you're one of the biggest trolls on this board.

Laurel must be proud.

I use quotes, because clearly you're not actually moral.

My OP on the subject was accurate and correct, but you pretended "not to remember" saying it.

Hey Dick,

Those so-called 'moralists' are among the few posters who either keep the Board on it's toes, or stimulate debates. Plus they're non-conformists adrenalin junkies and they have a good sense of humour.

As far as I (and several others, I suspect) are concerned:
My goal in posting here is not to be or rather, to be seen as being 'a good person' online. Because I'm perfectly happy with the way I conduct myself in real life.

Rather, Lit. does a great job in injecting my life with a daily dose of excitement and fun, and I'm also exposed to so many different ideas and people.
Therefore, as controversial as some posters consider them to be (and I agree that some of their posts are out of line), I'm glad that these 'moralists' are regular posters, and I enjoy reading many of their posts.

Wow...

Just....

wow.

For starters, I think you might want to look up what "conformist" means.

I simply reject the false dichotomy between sexual desire (or at least interest in sexual matters) and morality.
