A Moralist Walks Into A Porn Board...

Without wishing to portray myself as anything but an average person, I did not and do not come here for porn of any kind. I don't look at porn anywhere for that matter and reading it never did much for me execpt when I was a teen.
This is a porn site but it's not a porn board. I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who comes here just for the message board and isn't interested in any of the porn.
This isn't the only porn site that has decent message boards and believe me, people on those say the same things. "Why are you on a porn site if you believe a certain way?" Well, because I'm on a message board.
Such is life in the internet age I suppose.

Hey Dick,

Those so-called 'moralists' are among the few posters who either keep the Board on it's toes, or stimulate debates. Plus they're non-conformists adrenalin junkies and they have a good sense of humour.

As far as I (and several others, I suspect) are concerned:
My goal in posting here is not to be or rather, to be seen as being 'a good person' online. Because I'm perfectly happy with the way I conduct myself in real life.

Rather, Lit. does a great job in injecting my life with a daily dose of excitement and fun, and I'm also exposed to so many different ideas and people.
Therefore, as controversial as some posters consider them to be (and I agree that some of their posts are out of line), I'm glad that these 'moralists' are regular posters, and I enjoy reading many of their posts.

I love cows too, particularly the tenderloin.

Cows are very yummy. Sacred cows probably taste best but I think I'll stay away just in case they're right. I don't wish to stand before God and have to explain why I just had to have that sacred steak. Lyings, stealing, adultery, taking His name in vain, I can explain most of that. Why I ate a sacred cow instead of a regular one, not so sure.

If God preferred cows, they would be eating us.

Being a general discussion forum on a porn board is what sets it apart from other online forums, imo. Because it attracts people who are non-conformists and more open about things.
I had a look at other forums and *yawn* people there are so pc and predictable.

That's one for the record books.

:confused:Should I be embarassed? I'm not.
I'm not here to be appreciated. I'm here for some sort of escape from my mundane existence, and those posters are among the few who help me achieve that.

Well, I suppose it's better than marrying a death row inmate.

"Good sense of humor?" "A dose of excitement and fun?" "Exposed to different ideas?"

You're aware this thread is about Eyer, right?

yup. Certain out of the box aspects of their posts stimulate me into thinking about things or crack me up. And my former or present antourage (who, unlike me perhaps, are anything But stupid or unsophisticated) would have responded in a similar way.
Different people respond to different things; it doesn't make one inferior or less moral.

I like Ann's posts, a lot. They're v. intelligent & have punchy lines.
The only thing that occasionally puts me off is when she attacks posters about their health or other private matters.

It is flawed.

I don't always care for your posts, but you are nothing like Busybody or Eyer.

I think the point that Dick was making was since this is a "porn board" nothing sexually should be off limits. That's just categorically untrue. And as a side note, is he saying that the rest of you are amoral? I think what he didn't say is a lot more telling than what he did manage to mumble out.

I don't think that was his point. I think his point was that some people attack others for doing the same things they do themselves.
