I don't have a preferred method to of upkeep on my hair, I usually ask whoever I'm with what they prefer and do that because I'm happy either way. If I'm not with anyone I usually grow it out because it's easier to shave in a day then grow a bush. lol!

As far as guys go, I don't really have a preference unless you're going to ask me to deep throat you. In that case, a trim would be appreciated so I'm not trying to breath and then my nose is tickled by a ton of hair.

I do both. It is somewhat painful in bad way if hair gets pulled out while wearing my cock rings. So shaved balls but trimmed above. My wife used to shave all but a stop but she did not like the grow in process so now she just trims. Like others the totaly shaved look is not my thing it reminds me to much of a little kid.
